Do you agree with euthanasia (a tiny questionnaire)?

Yes I will consider it

Some people are so ill, so much in pain and are often terminally ill any way.  They know when their time has come and it is unfair to prolong it, giving them more pain when they want to be released.

No I dont agree but I would agree if in painful vegitative state.

Abortion:  A very controversial topic. I think it depends. If you are able to find out if your baby has a fatal disease like Huntingtons, I think it probably could be a consideration. But to get rid of a pregnancy just because..? NO. I think its completley cruel.

Capital Punishment: I believe it should be done to the perpetrator if the degree of the offense is very very severe. Of course, if the perp has mental disablities, then thats another story. But if the perp is aware of what he is doing then I think it should be done. Or else nothing is going to stop him/her.

those who claim it is god's divine right to give life and take life are forgetting the awful misery of those who want euthanasia. I can't see euthanasia as a solution if nobody knows about it - it looks to much like suicide.

If I were ill I may not be able to ask for it so would have to consider putting it into my will, which I haven't finalised as yet.

My Dad used to joke about wanting it to ease his pain, but eventually I realised he was telling the truth. I can see now that it could probably help some people, although choosing who would make the decision would be fairly controversial. =oD

EDIT: Only just agree with abortion, and I agree with capital punishment to the extent that people should have done an enormous amount of wrong to deserve it i.e. a series of life sentences and that it can be proven that they will not change.

However, I don't think assassination constitutes capital punishment - that person may have deserved it, and the assassin may not be likely to reoffend. I hope this helps =oD

I've already looked at exit, being on the Swiss border,I know where to go....Its legal there. A friend is inscribed to it...and met a guy in hospital in Geneva who already has his little cocktail at home. He has terminal cancer, still enjoying life but he wanted the choice to end it when the pleasure stopped and suffering began.

i would never agree to this as its murder regardless of age, illness , mental ability

god gives life and it isn't our place to take it away

abortion= no way (( i miss carried four babies late in pregnancy so no way ))

capital punishment= if that means a life for a life yes 1st degree murder should result in dead of the murderer

given the right circumstances, yes

maybe, thats the best i can do without being in that situation.

we would put any other animal out of their missery, but not humans, why?

agree with both depending on circumstance

for example, if a woman gets raped, abortion as long as done early enough in the pregnancy is acceptable, but abortion simply as a form of birth controle is out of line.

capital punishment, if it's proved beyoned doubt that someone pre meditately murdered, raped someone or (and especially) harmed a child (i.e peodaphilia or beating a child serverly) than kill them and don't give them a seconed thought.
