sustain 10 AFL clubs?

He has named the Kangaroos & Bulldogs as the first to go.

"I think the reality is, Melbourne’s a big town, but financially

as the game is costing more, the business community is not able to prop it up any more’’, he said. ‘‘Ten teams is probably going to be too much. So really it is probably eight or seven teams".

For once I agree with Jason! I know this issue has been flogged a bit - but this time it is coming from the mouth of a current player - not some official pushing his own barrow.

  1. Yes. I believe him with what he's saying.

    I believe everything he says!

  2. you should just go for richmond tigers 4 life

  3. Akermaina has a big mouth and most of what comes out is c**p, but im with him one this one, the kangaroos made a big misake not takeing the millon dollars for the move to the gold coast, ti think the Kangaroos and the Bulldogs may not last 5 years

  4. he is an idiot but i actually believe what he is saying, the way footy is now, its more a business then a sport, i think 3-4 will go, that's just my view, what do i know but Melbourne cannot sustain so many teams, look at any other sport, they all have one or two teams, that's it. we don't have the money of England and the USA, and yet they only have one or two teams per city.

I'm afraid aka makes sense, wonder what the dogs think of his comments. where did he say this, i missed it.

  5. I agree wholeheartedly............

............... with the knowelageable maestro Akker!

Even North melbourne's coach agrees with him.

'KANGAROOS coach Dean Laidley has called on Kangaroos fans to make a long-term commitment or watch their club fold.

"The ball's in their court, they need to come out and vote with their feet and if they don't … well, the inevitable may happen down the track," he said.'

  6. I dont like Jason....but its rtrue. I reckon if some teams move there will be more money for them with new fans and stuff.

  7. I have always loved Jason and his honest comments and he is always right (if people can admit that).Harsh, but right.

I'm scared that he will be right again about this one,as The Kangaroos are my team.

  8. Yes. I agree with him.

Only ostriches with their heads in the sand could disagree with this line of thought.

The AFL knows it; most clubs know it; most supporters know it; ......... time will tell.
