  1. yes

  2. india will never be as good as australia

  3. India has the talent pool to match Australia, it is only the mental strength and resilience that is required to match Australia. Problem is Australia is not stagnant, and waiting for India to close the gap. There are rapidly progressing and churning out quality cricketers.

  4. Yes, continental drift is only a few centimetres an eon.

  5. Wow, well the Aussies are something like twenty points ahead of South Africa and India are 2 adrift of South Africa on the test rankings so I'd say they need to get to South Africa first then we can start projecting towards Oz. In terms of playing, man for man India has just about as much talent as Oz does but everyone seems to melt against Oz and I think does too even though they seem to raise the bar a bit when they face them. Its gonna be a lot longer to close the gap once the likes of Kumple, Laxman, Dravid, Tendulkar and Ganguly all retire at the same time, start building all over again.

  6. India is inching up.

If Australia too comes down which they appear to be doing,it is possible to make it close, sooner than expected.

  7. As a batting unit they are probably on a par but when it comes to bowling India are still a long way behind, and until they find some decent pace bowling they will not come close to the Aussies.

  8. Perhaps......... Yes.

  9. You cannot compare Zimbabwe to Austrailia because Aussis are worse ,india is 1 million times better than zimbabwe.

  10. India can meet Australia head on right now provided the selectors sent the right players. One of the major weakness the Indian team has is that they are not very consistent like the Australians are. To be a winning team each player has to deliver what is expected of him. In other words he has to justify his selection. If your couple of players  fail (not necessarily the same players) then the chances of winning are not so bright regardless of the gallant performance by some others. Australia consistently wins because their players take cricket as true professionals. If India can do that then passing Australia in the race is not impossible.

  11. Yes.  I agree with you.

  12. ability wise i dont think theres much in it between them ,,apart from the Aussies have Brett lee ,,,but mentally they have a h**l of a long way to go and has to emulate the team work of Australia and psychology
