i saw the first fight,it was a classic the 3 knowdown was a big thing in the scorecard..tonight the big knockdown on third round was a mega round for pacman. 24 rounds in total evenly matched fight..but pacman put him in the canvas 4 times and marquez 0 times so if marquez cant put manny down , who's the better fighter?? i'll say PACMAN!!!

  1. I agree with the chosen1. Marquez was robbed. Look at the statistics, it's all there. Marquez landed WAY more punches than Pacman, higher landing percentage, and Marquez kept Pacman in check. I say over all, Marquez should have won it. That KO should have counted for one round only, not for the whole fight. If Manny lost, he would've have to fight him one more time, but he won and now he chickens out by replying to the question"Will you have another bout with Marquez?" Manny replied "No, this business is over." But it won't matter. Some one has to stop him, and that would be David Diaz, when Manny moves up in the weight division in June I believe. Get ready Manny, the Mexican saviour is bout to K you O.

  2. Pacquiao won and that's it. We all have our expectations and pet for bet...but that's why there are judges in competitions or in any sports fights. Whether we like their decision or not, theirs is what prevails not our opinion or not our choices/expectations.

They are both good fighters but Manny won. His victory is legitimate.

Next time you question judges decision go and be the judge...seems like you think you are better than them.  Or you can just call commentators in sports show to do the judging.

  3. People say that Marquez kept comming back so they think that he won the fight, when they fail to notice that Pacquiao didnt give up either. He came back strong with aggressiveness and fierceness. There were multiple times when Marquez would have hit the canvass. Your right and PACMAN won. Truth

  4. But Marquez keeps coming back

it's been a great 24 rounds and Pacman did win by one point.

    good fight either way

  5. IT WAS A CONTROVERSIAL SPLIT DECISION.  MARQUEZ WAS ROBBED AND THATS WHY THEY BOOED AT THE END.  Manny did not win neither time he has fought Marquez WHICH IS WHY MANNY WONT FIGHT HIM A THIRD TIME.

  6. Knockdowns are great, however boxing is scored on a round to round basis, the four knockdowns amount to winning 5 rounds. I think Marquez said it best after the fight, you don't win a boxing match by winning 1 round...

Pacman is the harder puncher no doubt about that, however there is more to boxing than knockouts and knockdowns (if that's all you care about watch MMA fights you'll get plenty of that)

  7. dchosen1 was right, Marquez should have won...my ***! On their first fight, it was clear that Manny was the 0ne who was robbed, and in their rematch Manny failed to knocked the h**l out of Marquez. Marquez should have won 2 times over Manny.....my ***!

  8. Yes. Knockdowns are what boxing is all about. Pacquiao was robbed in their first fight, it was a mistake by the judge.

  9. its a clean fight no foul play observed...

    well the scores are 112 - 115

too bad for marquez...  their game is a points base....

    lost by only 3 pts

    $800m richer to the winner

  10. dchosen obviously doesn't know much about boxing to say that his fighter was robbed.

I think Marquez said that as well while he was kissing the canvas a 4th time in 24 rounds.

In professional boxing to dominate means to try put the other fighter in the canvas. That is why there's KO. Marquez doesn't have what it takes to even KD Pacman.

Domination= Pacman KDs Marquez 4 times over 24 rounds. Land shattering blows.

Non domination= Cannot KD opponent no matter what he does over 24 rounds. Marquez waits to counterpunch but Pacman just absorbs it and continues to attack like a true champion and not wait like a sissy.

  11. Pacman

  12. i think pacquiao deserves this...he did evrything he could to prove that hes the 2nd best pound for pound boxer in the world, he has the heart of a champion thats why people appreciates pacquiao...watching his every fights...the judges score it not just as all punches but they score it for the performance of both fighters in evry round...GOOD JOB MANNY

  13. MANNY PACQUIAO!!!

although he seemed to lose this match... until the decisions came.

  14. yes..i'm agree...

  15. pacman is more marketable and that's the reality of boxing. Marquez is the better technical fighter however that knockdown and the harder punches of pacman won the two judges. Which i agree.

  16. Yes, and so do the judges.

If we would've seen a Marquez like he fought from Rd 2-11 on their 1st fight, I'd swing it over to Marquez. But we didn't see as good of a technician as he was back in May 2004.

Pacquiao didn't get 3 KOs in the first round, but didn't do bad either...he didn't get sloppy as he did on their first bout. And he didn't get hit as much as their first bout..at least hard hits.

He also left a lot of shots for Marquez to take...which Marquez didn't take advantage of. Behind Pacquiao's strength, which is his flurries with big lefts, is his biggest weakness. Leaving himself open with his arms down.

I think a draw would've been more feasable...but to say Marquez won...i don' think so.

If Marquez really wants it, he could go 135 and fight again. That is after Pacquiao beats Diaz.

  17. I agree. Yes, you can say that the decision of the judges is questionable,., but the two judges have their point,.,even Marquez gave pacman lot of punches, pacquiao's punches are stronger..,

So,. that means that Pacquiao is the New World Super Featherweight Champion.,.,
