Question:

Do you agree with my top ten NBA players ever?

1)Michael Jordan

2)Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

3)Magic Johnson

4)Wilt Chamberlain

5)Larry Bird

6)Bill Russell

7)Kobe Bryant

8)Tim Duncan

9)Shaquille Oneal

10)Hakeem Olajuwon

I don't think Oscar or West belong here because:

1) perimeter play/defense was weaker

2) guards weren't as athletic

3) players weren't as tall

The guards now are much better defenders.

  1. Good list, i like it.

You dont have to be a finals mvp to be great.

in essence, you have to have a finals mvp to be top 10, so lets just put tony parker up there instead of kobe...

if it were top 15 id add Dr. J, Scottie Pippen, Nique', David Robinson, and LeBron.

  2. its actually a pretty good list.  this is what I would do

    1. Michael Jordan

    2. Magic Johnson

    3. Larry Bird

    4. Karrem

    5. Shaq

    6. Oscar Robertson

    7. Bill Russell

    8. Kobe Bryant

    9. Tim Duncan

    10. Hakeem

  3. Bill Russell is number 2, and everyone else slides down. Kobe is probably around number 20 to 30ish.

  4. Take Off Kobe He's 50-60 Range...The centers were smaller and weaker when wilt played so i think The big o goes in if wilt does

  5. Kobe Bryant on your top 10, ALL-TIME list? atleast wait till he retires, he lacks a Finals MVP like the other 9 players on your list.

  6. No, I disagree.

  7. It is good, props to you for seating down and thinking of your own personal top 10 list....

It looks like you like centers and are favoring them ....

    I don't agree with the order .

And I don't agree Magic being there.

And right now I am not sure who I'd replace him with.

Nor would I ever put Kobe in that list with those players of that caliber.

But I would put Kobe along :

    OJ

    PACMAN

    Mike Tyson

    Charles Barkley

  8. yea but i think you should add LeBron James with the place of Hakeem Olajuwon

  9. Hakeem Olajuwon averaged a double double his whole career and was/ is the most talented center of alltime he had post moves, midrange moves, quick footwork you name it. So how in the h**l is Kobe above him. You can even make a case he was better than the most dominant center Shaq because Hakeem got the better of him in the Finals he is the only one to say that against the young Shaq. If MJ wasnt in the league im sure Hakeem would have more than 2 Championships.

As for Kobe I dont see him in the top 10 players of alltime list. Kobe is a very good scorer, but his shooting is not that great. Also he is not a good passer, his rebounding is all right, has bad leadership, and his defense is overrated. To me he is a one dimensional player.

Also its hard to make an alltime list w/ players of different positions because they require different aspects in their game. You should always rank players alltime by position.

  10. No way Kobe's in there. Moses Malone's in there, Russell's much higher, Magic was better than Kareem, Oscar should be top 3 at least.

  11. The Big O has to be in any top 10. Hakeem is debatable as he had a great career, however, was only dominate for half his career. This is very subjective so I can't argue with your top 10 too much. Rick Barry almost merits mentioning. Best passing forward ever (even a better passer than Larry), Scottie Pippen comes to mind as maybe sneaking in also, remember, Kobe has no titles without Shaq, and Scottie from a "numbers prospective" would have had far better career stats had he not played with Michael.

  12. Yes but in different order. I would put Kareem on top followed by Wilt then Jordan

  13. Wow....Oscar robertson was the first and only player to ever average a tiple-double an entire season and take kobe off for 3 more years put russel ahead of bird switch oscar for 3 and magic for 4 and move hakeem to 7 and thats alot better but Oscar and west should be in there.

  14. wilt was probably better than kareem. labron is better than kobe and david robinson is better than tim duncan

  15. yea kobe gotta be higher up there. i stand by my decision kobe is the greatest of all-time. forget awards forget rings pure natural talent kobe is no.1

    jordan is no.2

    kareem 3 magic 4 bird 5 duncan 6 olajuwon 7 o'neal 8 russell 9 wilt 10

  16. i think u should switch lebron james with tim duncan but the rest i agree with its all fine :)

  17. That had got to be the DUMBEST top 10 list I've ever seen. You must really be STUPID! LMAO!!!!

    MICHAEL JORDAN SUCKS!

  18. You forgot Tyrone Lue and Greg Ostertag.

  19. Where is Stockton? All time leader in Assists & Steals by considerable margins. He defiantly belongs here.

  20. good list

  21. Dude i agree a 100% with your top ten!!

props for giving Kareem Abdul-Jabbar the love!!People kinda forget the best scorer ever!!

  22. I think that's pretty good.  I wouldn't have them in that particular order of best-to-least best and I would honestly drop Shaq and add Oscar Robertson.

I say drop Shaq because when I think of top ten of all time I think of the combination of great, impressive talent AND achievements.  Although Shaq has great stats and achievements, he is not a skilled basketball player.  He's just a beast down low due to his size.  Now I include Wilt because he's the same as Shaq in regards to size but did score 100 points in a single game.  That is something you simply can't ignore regardless of the circumstances.
