Do you agree with the Hawthorne Effect and what other examples can you provide to support your opinion?

  1. Well......................... I do agree with the Hawthorne Effect! for Example, if someone tells you that you are being watched, you would act nervous, maybe walk faster, look behind you to see if anyone was there........

    The Hawthorne Effect is like the same. People/Subjects knew that they were being tested, so the may change their true answers (while they are being tested) to match the specification/the answers that the researchers need.

    Well, in my textbooks, there is no other hard evidence (written down in the book) that other Studies have proven to come up with this effect, however it is true....

    In England, there was a study done in a lab, that showed that people would change their answers to match the hypothesis that the research wants to get to prove their hypothesis true. In fact, 89% of the people that were tested made their answrs false - because they knew that they were being tested!!
