Do you agree with the death penalty for a mother who microwaved her baby to death?

i ask because as a mother i can't think of a more fitting end to the life of such an evil person.

I would say most absolutely!  On the other hand, the death penalty is to light of a sentence for something so SICK.  She is getting off too easy with the death penalty!  She should be made to live with something reminding her everyday, day in and day out what she did, make her visualize the same sick act.  People may say that is immoral and cruel punishment.  But what ta by jeebers do you think she did to her baby!

Solitary confinement for the rest of her life. Meals pushed through a hole in the door. No human contact ever. No reading material, no tv, no nothing.

It would be more expensive than the death penalty but I don't agree with the death penalty and yet I don't want this woman to EVER have a single moment of pleasure or happiness again for the rest of her miserable life.

i feel that the death penalty is a simple methos in which your life is ended their is no pain and no suffering you just die, unlike her baby who cooked to death. I believe that everyone should die when the good lord takes them. so i dont believe in the death penalty at all. But.....i am sick to my stomach from all these moms killing there kids the way they do, so morbid like. How can a mother do this to their child, I pray that caylee anthony didnt die a horrible death! and i just have to believe that when a mother kills a child that god takes over and the child is gone before they feel any pain.

Is it justice to give a lethal injection to a sick psychotic woman? No, this woman will never pay her debt to society and dosing her with a poison is too easy in my eyes. I think she should rot in prison until naturally she draws her last breath. Living with what she did is justice.

I hope, to all that is life the universe and everything, that this is a question you've imagined and not based on a real event!

However, regardless of whether a microwave is used or if a mother kills her child by: smothering; poisoning; beating; neglect etc; etc. What is the difference?

I would always wish to harm to death any person that intentionally caused the harm and hurt and we have previously spoken about (subjectively speaking)...and here it comes again!

However, in my humble opinion, the death penalty can never be justified, in any culture, for any reason...

Most definitely. This death was obviously caused on purpose, it was cruel and disgusting, there is no other crime as worthy of the death penalty than someone who microwaves their own child.

I'm not a great believer in the death penalty, as it has been used on innocent people. You can't exactly say sorry to someone you find out later to be not guilty. Having said that in clear cases of guilt just take them out the back and shoot them. In this woman's case I would hope for an agonizing death but the bleeding hearts wont allow that.

   I didn't hear about this one-horrible. I would say it depends if she was psychotic at this time. People do suffer from mental illness. But it goes much further than that. You must ask : was she under the care of a doctor, was she taking her meds? It seems to me that anyone who does this horrific act must be ill. I would likemore details. God help her

Hey I was just going to bed when I saw this one!  This person has a serious problem obviously.  I believe in God, who forgives.  Sorry, you may not want to hear this but God can and probably will forgive her. Have you by any chance ever killed a spider, an ant, killed a fly or sprayed insects in order to kill them? Well, they are all God's creatures, just like this woman.  So if you think you are off the hook.  Don't judge lest you also be judged.  I am not a buddhist by the way, I am a Christian.

No. Not because I sympathised with her but because I want her to suffer as much as it permits while she lives. Besides, she's mentally ill and she needs to be rehabilitated.  I'm sure if she can think sanely enough and remembers what she did with her child, she'll be in great pain and that will be enough.

What is this world coming to. It's bad enough that animals have been killed in a microwave, now people are microwaving their babies? She deserves the death penalty for sure. I just hope tax payers don't have to pay for her to spend 10 years in jail before they actually do something.
