Do you agree with the quote, "No good deed goes unpunished"?

...or do you think that "no good deed goes unrewarded?" and "no BAD deed goes unpunished?" If you think "no good deed goes unpunished," the other way around is "no bad deed goes unrewarded." Which makes no sense. But I think that no good deed goes unrewarded and that no bad deed goes unpunished. But sometimes (or at least in Elphie's case, lol,) no good deed goes unpunished. But no bad deed goes unpunished. ALL bad deeds go unrewarded. What do you think? THANKS!!

  1. Once my head stops spinning................None of the above.   If you deliberately do something wrong it will come back to bite you on the a**!   As for no good dead goes unpunished - Not true!   If you put something positive out there you can change the energy around you!

But, what the h**l do I know?!

  2. Well no Ive known countless times where a good deed went unpunished and a bad one was rewarded. Ex: A guy cheats and steals his way through life steps on other people feels nothing bad about it ends up in a high paying job because of it and dies with alot of money. He could die happy there have been those situations. The nice guys usually do finsih last [regardless of the hollywood movies that show other wise -.-] beacuse their nice and they want to play fair and get there with their own strengths while the otehr ones get there by force and are clever enough to not get caught. What if someone takes the credit for YOUR good deed? What if you cant prove you did it? This isnt blockbuster you might not think of a clever get them back plan and let everyone see your not a lier. They could take credit and they could be rewarded while your not even if it was your good deed. It really depends. It depends on the situation and it depends on the people and it depends on whats believed to be good and bad {thats ALOT more difficult then anyone can imagine sometimes] at that moment. My qoute for this would be either: Bad deeds or good deeds everyone gos unrewarded {or rewarded} at sometime. Or another one that really fits into this person wise: You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time. The same can be considered for deeds. Why are people so confused its an wasy question. At least I think I answered it right the people above me are the ones confusing me! lol

  3. I think I'm rather confused. That may have been your intent.

Good deeds may go unpunished, unrewarded or unnoticed, true, but the reward of a good deed is in the doing, not the reward of rewards. Doing  a good deed is its own reward. That's called Karma, and one may or may not believe in such.

Bad deeds go punished and unpunished.

I hope I have my logic straight.

  4. well if you are talking about karma then yes, i believe in it to a degree. One way or another you always reap what you sow.

  5. ......

"No good deed goes unpunished" is mostly used by pessimists to describe unfairness.

"No bad deed goes unrewarded" is a new one to me, but essentially sounds the same, just in reverse...

Wait, what exactly was the question...?
