conservatives believe that people are fundamentally bad, and that we must make laws to make them be good.

liberals believe that people are fundamentally good, and that we must make provisions to ensure that they do not become bad.

This was an answer to a question from yesterday.......I'm conservative, and I DEFINITELY do not believe all people are bad. I also don't believe liberals believe everyone is good.

What do you think?

  1. Your right, I think people from both parties act that way, some more extreme than others. I am a Republican and even I see that the far right has way too much say in our party, just like the far left with the democrats. I think both parties need to purge these radicals.

  2. I think that's silly.  We are seeing, during this long election process, the black and the white (no pun intended) between the two parties.  It's really shades of gray until we choose a particular candidate to run. McCain represents the far right but not as far right as the dastardly Bush.  He is no way a liberal-conservative.  Obama is quickly becoming a right of centre liberal.  There is no true socialism in the states.  This is just screwed up head cases making noise crying commie and socialist.  They don't know their A from a hole in the ground.
