Considering he was totally drunk and she worked in an escort bar her mum is the naive one here?

She is an adult - she knew he was married she took the gamble and it appears to not have paid off - she was dumb enough not to get money up front for the painting work and paid her own air fare - counting on him to be under her spell after a week of simpering about his house - sadly for her the only spell he is under is alcohol!!!!
