Do you agree with this quote or do you add "...but it helps if you look hot..." to it?

No, I disagree.  "Anything" is too big a category; you can't do successful brain surgery or rocket science through confidence alone.

You can't even be a successful US president just by thinking you can.

On the other hand, confidence, courage, daring, perseverance are great things - IF they're combined with enough humility to seek out information and wisdom when you don't have them, and with enough realism to recognize that everyone has limitations.

I agree. It usually works for me when I have no idea what I'm doing. But I'd still agree if you added the end part. Haha!
