  1. I bet that woman has criticized men but doesn't consider herself a man hater. Or maybe she does, who knows.

  2. No, I don't think it's necessarily true. I consider myself a feminist. I've read A LOT of feminist theory...was a Women's Studies major in college. There are aspects I don't agree with and that I criticize...I sure as heck am not a woman hater. It's healthy to challenge your belief systems and not take everything as fact or gospel.

I see more men on here that don't like feminism but have a healthy appreciation for women. While that's true...of course there are some men out there that do hate women and thus hate feminism. Here and out in the world.

  3. Not necessarily, especially since it seems like the average person doesn't actually know anything about feminism.  Most people equate feminism more with being anti-male than anything else, which is a gross misinterpretation of the term and movement.  So, for someone like that, being against feminism is, in their mind, like being against sexism, racism, etc.

But some people are against feminism because they hold a derogatory view of women, whether they understand feminism or not.  That would be more along the lines of hating women.

  4. I think feminism = woman hate.   It demeans all of the beautiful qualities of femininity. It says that I am not enough.

  5. h**l no!  I'm a woman and I hate it; feminism that is; every time I hear you don't understand it; look at what it has done for you - like h**l I say!.  That's as outlandish as this: "Being anti-feminist means rejecting the notion that women are human beings"? and "accepting that women are human beings IS being a feminist.  Being anti-feminist means rejecting the notion that women are human beings; accepting that women are human beings IS being a feminist. Thus, she's either a person who thinks women aren't human beings who does think women are human beings, or is an anti-feminist feminist.  Just as stupid as saying that all women are feminist.

  6. Absolutely not!  I am a woman and I love myself and I have  many criticisms of feminism.  When you really care for something you always want to allow for criticism.  If something does not change and/or grow it will stagnate and die.  Although I will admit that bashing does not help it only makes one defensive.

  7. No. I am a woman and I criticize feminism all of the time. I do not hate women. If anything, the biggest anti-woman movement IS feminism. Feminism wants to force women to do things they may not want to do. Like be in the workforce and institutionalize our children.

  8. The pathetic "Shaming Language" is intended to silence the criticism of Feminism. If you really want to see what Feminism is doing to Men. Read the article in the UK publication that compares the proposed Treatment of Fathers in Divorce to Terrorists. Seizure without Court Orders of Bank Accounts, suspension of Licenses, passports, jail etc. This has been the case in the US for decades.

Feminists hate the fact that Men are speaking out in larger numbers than ever. And that even Feminists are saying the Women's Movement has gone too far. Faye Weldon in the UK has said exactly that.

The nonsense endlessly spewed out on Yahoo that Feminism is about equality is rubbish. It has not been about equality for better than two decades now. It is about Feminine Privilege and advantages. An example is the bogus report by the AAUW that there is no crisis in Boys Education. Women who teach Boys are saying its a lie.

  9. I haven't gotten to the question/response you are referring to, and I don't think I have to read that to say 'no, I dont agree with that ignorant premise'. I hear a lot about men being feminists too, so if someone criticizes feminism, who are they actually hating? both men and women? doesn't make enough sense.

  10. probably more women criticizing feminism then there are men at the moment.

"woman hater", just their shaming tactics, no match for logic.

  11. Not totally. I don't think one has to hate woman to criticize some feminist beliefs. However, many who make particularly strident criticism are anti-women.
