yer i read that. Ranatunga was supporting India, not a word of Sri Lanka just that we're part of the 'real contestants along with Pakistan.

Ranatunga has a right to say that India are favorites, but i have to say i'm shocked that he hasn't said a word about Sri Lanka.

maybe its because the BCCI have been helping the Sri Lanka cricket board with their financial problems...or he just doesn't want to jinx it for the Sri Lankans.

Indians are favorites but  Sri lanka CAN give them a fight.

Ranatunga said India are the favourites and he must have based his opinion on current form over a period of time, not just the last game or two. However, it is just his opinion and however respectable he may be, it will be the moment which decides who will win. So form and reputation may not always stand you in good stead.

Yes I agree as well as disagree.

Agree as he is judging their quality. Also because India will make a come-back as always they do after a defeat.

Disagree as there is never a certainty with Indian Cricket. The let fans down at expected all times. But go to win against Aussies on their own ground.

I totally agree with MeL

the asia cup is indias favour but it is his duty as a past captain of the lankan cricket team to even mention lanka who is also in competition along with pakistan

i am quite dissapointed

i honour ranatunga but it would be even nice to wish the lankans good luck

i am saying the lankans should win the asia cup just to show ranatunga uncle that cricket is unpredictable...........mahela is a good captain and very commited

that is the spirit of cricket

in my opinion all four sri lanka, india, pakistan and bangladesh r all deserved for the cup bcoz as a continent we all rock in cricket
