It depends on the variety; bavarian-austrian accent is very sweet.

Yes, actually, but that is probably because i know so many German men and their wives. Most of our friends live in the Nordrhein Westphalia regions  and therefore don't speak Platte deutsch, they're intelligent, well travelled and speak excellent English. Our German male friends are family men and true to their wives, they don't have time for messing around with the flotsam and jetsam of society - they're too busy enjoying family and friends! Why can't it be like this in England?

I actually really like German accents, i think it's quite s**y in a man. I have a female friend who has the most amazing voice, her accent is beautiful.

When I was in Germany I did come across some people with thick, quite severe accents that wasn't so nice but I think the younger generations have a much softer accent.

My husband is German but when he speak romantic to me he does it in english with a little German accent and I find it very appealing.

German is one of the most guttural and vile languages in the world I don't know how you find it soothing.

I do not mean any offence to any german people it is just my opinion.
