  1. Hate is a very strong word to use. I hate very few things in this world.

I dislike not being able to have reasonable conversation and rational debate with people of differing opinions (on just about anything)

I dislike folks that would rather go to a grocery store and buy a processed meat product, (fed with who knows what to make the meat bigger for re-sale... while losing flavor and texture in the process) than take the time to cultivate an animal.

I dislike folks that compalin about hunting ,yet also complain that the deer are eating the flora and fauna in their manicured lawns. They also complain the incidence of deer accidents (car, truck, van, etc) is growing and how terrible it is (etc).

  2. The problem with anti hunters is that they have never tasted my duck poppers. Or my BBQ Goose. That would convert them.  :)

  3. I'm not a hater but I do not think we should give up our way of life because "the animals might not like it". I do think that if they could, they would try to destroy hunting all together and have us hug and dance around deers and squirrels instead. I feel for the ignorance; most of the people who hate hunters are guaranteed to have never hunted in their life.

  4. I don't think we should do anything with the anti-hunters....they have there own opinion and we have ours now I do argue with the ones that go over board though the ones that carry on about it and say like "your mean how would you like it if you were getting shot" etc

ya those i hate but the ones who are just whatever i just dont like hunting then i respect it.

So dont start a debate here we dont need anymore hate in this world

  5. No, I do not hate them.  It is hard to hate people who are well-intentioned, but misinformed.  Just like I wouldn't hate someone because they couldn't read.  It is just poor education. Although, it is very frustrating.

There isn't much you can do about the anti-hunters now.  What can be done is work on the education of children.  Today's children have no understanding of life, death, and the natural balance.  By teaching them the truth, we can erase the next generation of anti-hunting supporters.

The greatest thing to do for hunting, in general, is become active.  Support your conservation organizations.  Be ethical when you hunt.  Respect others who do not hunt.  You can do in many ways.  I teach my students, in Hunter Ed, not to display dead game animals where non-hunters see them.  Do not go into eating establishments covered in camo.  Be respectful to landowners.  Get involved with conservation.  Maybe become a Hunter Ed instructor or organize a group to build woodduck nest boxes.  There are many things you can do to put hunting in a positive light.

Remember, 5%of the population hunts, 5% are anti-hunters, and the other 90% could care less either way.  The 90% are the ones who make the decisions on whether hunting has a future.  They are who we need to impress.

  6. yes, i dont like how they voice their opinions and make us feel like murderers. but, they also have a point agains the d**n city folk who go out on a hunting trip with their buddies just to kill some deer. if your gonna hunt, eat the d**n thing, and keep the rest as a trophy, dont just shoot a d**n deer and let it sit in the woods forever...

  7. I don't hate them unless they are interrupting my hunt! I don't agree with their beliefs, but don't hate. They have a different way of thinking and we can not do anything about that. All we can do is make sure we keep our RIGHTS to live off the land and not a grocery store!

  8. 2 answers for this

1 close the grocery stores let them fend for themselves

2 put em deep deep in the woods with a gun and a knife and tell em eat or die

  9. well not as much hate but pissed off. If you see my answers! acount you'll see some of the dumb STUPID STUPID STUPID remarks that peopel give.... well these stupid remarks arnit about hunting but it just does to show you that some people have never been outside of the asphalted land(A.K.A. the city).. some stupid remarks i've seen are.....

----->theres puss in milk<------- LOL yeah the mother cow's gona give her baby puss to drink

----->  i'm gona f*ckin shoot your f*ckin hunting a*s and then f*ckin rape you wife and f*ckin kill your kids<----- LOL yeah and get in the same sentence the person said that hunters were the f*cked up 1's that were making death threats

if people dont want to hunt FINE, just DONT f*ckin try and pawn your ideas off on us hunters, cause you dont see us hunters trying and converting non-hunters into hunters!!

kinda like the "all hunters kill for sport and their amusment" 99% of hunters eat what we kill, well cept 4 the oveous (like coyote),

  10. No, I don't hate people who have foolish beliefs. When I have the chance, I do try to enlighten them.

  11. When they starve to death we won't have to worry about them anymore!*

  12. (Q1. Do you also hate anti-hunters?

(A1. I don't hate them. I think they're horribly misguided and may hate what they're trying to do, but that doesn't mean I hate them.

(Q2. What do you think we must do with anti-hunters?

(A2. The only thing that can really be done with them is try educate them so they understand that hunting is a worthwhile activity that serves and important environmental purpose (keeping animal populations in check). If they don't want to to be educated, then they're beyond help and simply deserve our pity.

    (Q3. How about for sport?

    (A3. I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.

  13. I don't hate them, but I do hate what they WANT to do.  They want to control how other people live their lives.  It's not limited to hunting, but to gun control and other things too.  Although I don't hate them, I don't trust them.  They are people who get off on having power over other people and control over what they consider to be the "ignorant" masses.  I've said this in other answers, but they have exactly the same characteristics as others who have led their countries into facist dictatorships.  One thing all wanna be dictators have in common, is that they profess to be doing it for the "common good" and they think they know what is best for all of us.  Dangerous people.  I don't hate anyone, but I do hate their thought process and what they are trying to do.

ADDED:  I've looked at some of the other answers here and I have to concede that some anti-hunters are just misguided, but I still think that the most active and dangerous are the ones that want to control what other people do.  If it wasn't hunting or gun control it would be something else.  I believe that there is a certain type of person who will grab onto a cause just because they feel it gives them power over others.  PETA and ELF is a good example of organizations that these types of people join.  The misguided teens latch onto to anti-hunting and "animal rights" because they feel that it gives them an identity.  I don't feel threatened by them, but adults who attempt to dictate to me what I can't and can't do, that's another story.  I think they are dangerous, and we should all be on guard and stand up against them in every election and at every opportunity.  As I've said before,  I've never known a gun owner who tried to force someone who doesn't like guns to own or use one.  I've never known a hunter to try to force an anti-hunter to hunt.  But the anti-hunter/gun activists' whole thought process is dedicated to forcing their will on the rest of us.  So, yes some are misguided and they should be pitied, until they grow up and become activists, then they should be confronted, voted against, and challenged at every step. Don't let your guard down with these people, they can be very devious, manipulative and politically dangerous.

  14. Hate is a strong word.  Dislike, yes.  I wish they'd get the stick out of their A$$ and leave those lawfully engaged in a legal activity alone.  I don't run around trying to stop there tree hugging.

  15.      As already has been pointed out, HATE is a strong word.  I think that if you are having problems with anti-hunting groups in your area, you need to work within the law.  No.  You may not hunt them instead of game, (they don't taste good).

If I had some 'green pansy' following me around in the woods, he would experience the hike of his life...if the gators didn't get him, or those huge banana spiders, or the water moccasins, or the sow with her piglets.  In  another area a buck in rut could be just as dangerous, and then there are bears, cougars, and wolves.  This is why we don't kill all of the predators.  They keep the liberals out of the woods!

  16. Hate? No.

Pity? Yes.  Ignorance is a disease.

There are two kinds of people in the world - thinkers and feelers.  Thinkers are easy to educate and relatively easy to change their minds using logic.  Feelers, on the other hand, really don't care about logic; they only care about their gut reaction.  These are the people that will not understand that healthy animal populations are actually enhanced by hunting.

My personal take on how to deal with them on a one-on-one setting is to try and educate them.  I will continue to do this with an individual until he tells me that nothing I say will change his mind.  As a group, it is my opinion that we marginalize them as kooks and nuts (in a nice way, of course), because, essentially, that's what they are when it comes to this subject.

Here's a question I like to ask: have you ever seen a society where malnutrition is rampant worry about animals when they are being hunted?  The point is, only fat, dumb, and happy societies worry about animals being hunted.

  17. I agree with Chucku.  Anti-hunters are entitled to believe whatever is important to them (just as they and WE are entitled to worship, live, etc. as we wish).  Whether we AGREE with them is OUR right, and we both have the right to free speech.

That's the part I have more trouble reconciling for myself.  I agree that we all have the right to disagree, but shouldn't we also have the obligation to be polite about it?  It's fine not to want to hunt (or shoot, drink alcohol, drive a Ford, go outside of the house on Tuesdays), but is it anybody's place to put someone else down because THEY choose to do these things?  As long as you are not breaking the law, what's the problem?  Live your OWN life.

  18. No, Hate only destroys the Hater.* Forgive them father for they know not what they do.* Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.* " Guns only have two (2*) Enemy's Rust and Politicians."**.. Anti-Hunters are a nuisance and a pain in the rump.* There will always be people who criticize, condemn, complain, and find fault with Hunters and Sportsman who choose to participate in their beloved Sport of Hunting.* It is just a given, and nothing will ever change their beliefs and perceptions of us.* " Hunting is Fun and Enjoyable, Killing is neither Fun or Enjoyable."**

  19. I don't hate them.  I avoid them like I avoid any person obsessed with whatever they are trying to shove down other people's throat be it religion, life-style or some other personal agenda.

I've had to hunt for food.  I suppose the antis never have which means I'll still survive and they'll starve.  Pity the poor fools when they refuse to partake of my venison and see me heartily enjoying my meal!  Survival of the fittest is the law of the jungle.

  20. Not hate, dislike. Most of the time they are the ones who have lived a sheltered life and are quite ignorant. Most of them, when they think of hunters, think of a savage, uneducated individual who cannot function in a normal part of society. They choose to not understand what it is about and will not listen to anyone who is an expert on the subject. They have there own ideas and are too stubborn to see the reality. They live in their own little fantasy world and believe what they want to, which may or may not be the truth. More often than not its the latter.

  21. I have a very funny story this reminded me of.

....I went to the recent "Mayhem" Concert in Nobelsville, Indiana. PETA was there handing out T-Shirts and bracelets. When they saw me and handed me a shirt, i wipped out my Zippo and lit it on fire, i looked right at him and said "F*CK PETA" and walked away........

    ------------

And i dont hate THEM, they can beleive what they want. But when they try to push their beleifs on you, THAT i hate.

  22. I believe that if an anti-hunter don't want to hunt then he has the right not to, but don't try to tell us hunters to stop hunting. I can see that they "feel sorry" for the hunted animals but most of the time, if a hunter kills an animal it is for a good reason. Whether it be for food, or if an animal is messing with something that the hunter own. I hunt hogs during the summer when I stay with my grandma. I don't just kill them because they are there. I kill them because they root in the pasture and make it rough and eat all of the deer corn that's on the ground.

  23. I don't hate them.

Hate is too strong a word.

Besides, hatred stands in our way of trying to show them the light.

They already hate us, they make that pretty clear.

    Do unto others....

.....So hating them contains no solution.

Many of the anti's simply never have heard any truth about hunting or conservation.

Sure the hardcore leaders will always be negative, but the "blind followers"? - They just require facts based on truth rather than emotion.

I'm getting to old to hate anyone over dogma.

    It's counterproductive.

It does not allow room for debate

If we are to convert any of these folks over to our way of thinking, we must set aside our hatred.

Replace it with frustration and determination.

Those ideas encourage debate and are our strength.

We must stick to the truth and stick to our guns.

And we must not give in to the urge to hate those that oppose us.

    Hatred can be a weakness.

When you hate, it says that you have exhausted all other options,

    That you have given up.

That's why the anti's hate us.

They don't have any fact upon which to base their claims.

    They've exhausted their arguments.

    They failed.

    They hate.

We must be bigger than them.

We have facts on our side.

We have options and arguments galore.

If we hate, we leave ourselves no room in which to utilize them.

  24. blame their parents for not educating them!

  25. No I don't hate anti-hunters. My philosophy is, if they are not out hunting, more for me.

  26. It's not reasonable to hate the misguided.. it would be like hating someone who has scrambled mental capabilities, which is, of course, what they are.
