Do you always start your period 14 days after ovulation?

I ovulated on the 5th of August. I have not yet started my period. I took a pregnancy test on Wednesday, August 21st (Day 29) and it came back negative. Am I definately pregnant, or could I still start my period? Should I take another pregnancy test? When? Also, is it possible that I would have a delayed period, the time between ovulation and my period longer than 14 days?

no it doesn't, it depends on every person. . . some has the 28 days cycle and others have 30,31, or 32 day cycle.  .  just wait for a week because may just just be delayed. . .  then if u still dont get ut menses try another pregnancy test . . .

I am always late on my periods.  Be patient, and if you do not start your period in the next day or two, go to the doctor.  Maybe you have been stressed recently?

"Every" womans cycle is different.....if you are old enough to get pregnant, have s*x, you should already know your body and your cycle...HUGS!!

The time between ovulation and your period should always be the same. It is not 14 days for all women. Your ovulation day can vary. If you do not get your period then you should take another test and make sure to use first morning urine

everyone ovulates at different times so yes it can be longer then 14 days. that is just the average. when you miss your period is when you should test. and then a week after your missed period
