And if so, how does it affect your marriage?

My husband and I had different views when we got married and it really didn't come up much, but by the time the election 2004 rolled around, he had seen the light! (completely on his own, I may add) and now we agree for the most part, but I wonder how many couples have opposing views and if it causes problems or not?

  1. My husband and I don't have totally opposing view, but we do differ quite a bit.  One thing we've noticed is that we've both moved to the center over the course of our marriage and agree on more things now than we used to.

We're always respectful when we disagree.

  2. My husband and I are Libertarians, well... he's mostly a Libertarian, except that he can defend the Iraq war and American bases in other countries to the death.

In fact, he's in the navy. I don't object too much, because he's not killing people although I guess you could say he's an enabler.

He's getting out soon though, Thank God.

And no, it doesn't affect us too much, we just avoid that topic in conversation :-D

  3. We're close enough to not make much difference.

  4. Yes she does, it makes the relationship interesting.
