Hey Mark. If you're planning to propose to your special someone, most of the restaurants (specially in hotels) are trained already. You just need to give them a heads up when your gf goes to the restroom or something. But if it's ambience you're looking for -- Vivere suites at Alabang is really the place to be. You'll be dining beside the pool on top of the building overlooking Alabang and Makati area, plus their lamb chops are really good. L'Contro at Jupiter is ok as well. They serve the best panna cotta. qc - try annabelle's along tomas morato

manila - try that wedding venue in intramuros... forgot the name  

san juan - try cafe ysabelle

makati - top of the citi (top of citibank bldg.)

Any restaurant will do as long as you'll coordinate with the waiter or managers. It is more romantic if you'll do it in your house and you're the one who prepared the foods, table, etc.

You can go in Libis to find romantic restaurants too.

For elegance and romance, the best restaurant in Makati is Prince Albert. The food is very good and the wine selection is extensive.
