well,my RAM is UNB PC 3200 CL2.5 i want to buy the anohter one with the same name but I couldnt find anywhere to buy it

they have only DDR PC 3200 CL2.5 instead of UNB

Can I buy DDR for my PC?

i have now only 256MB and now I want to buy 2GB and then add there so I will ger 2256 MB

dont worry about the name  pc 3200  is exactly  what  you need  

as long as  you  keep just that in mind  ( pc 3200  )  you wil do fine

be glad its not rambus

UNB RAM means Unbuffered RAM.

Unbuffered RAM: There is no control between the chipset and the memory chips, meaning that data can be given to the chips at any time, even in the middle of a clock cycle. It is less efficient when the data is being read.

Registered RAM: Provides a delay so that all data from the chipset is collecting at the beginning/end of a clock cycle. This gives an advantage when data is being read by the system, especially for gaming rigs.

Better to check whether your motherboard supports the RAM that is available now.

Most motherboards run faster with equal amounts of ram in each port.

1gb and 1gb. (just a tip)

And i'd read your manual for the motherboard itll tell you what kind of ram you can put in it.  You know that folder with all the BS instructions that came with your computer, time to dig it out find the one for your mobo, and read.
