Do you approve this hotel? is it in a safe part of town?

Question

guys im going to spend a week in washington for business and i want to know if this hotel is a good one or not:

is it in a safe part of town? hows the access to george town university and other places of interests?

the hotel is in a good part of DC. Its not to far from Georgetown U. So make sure you take time to walk around downtown because thats a pretty nice area. Plus if you are their during the school year there will be alot of people out walking. During the summer its nice, but can get hot.

Majority of places in NW washington you'll be good to go.

It's in "upper" Georgetown, which is a good part of town.  You'll be able to walk into Georgetown without much effort.  Plenty of shopping and restaurants are nearby.  You'll also be able to walk to Georgetown University.

Unfortunately it's not overly close to Metro, so getting down to the National Mall with all of its museums and the monuments will be more of a hassle.

If your primary objective is to be near GU and the Georgetown shops, it's a good choice.  Otherwise, it's a so-so choice.
