  1. Many people will take the time to tell you that there is no scientific evidence for supernatural and paranormal creatures, activity and situations. This is an offset of Cartesian thought and the age of rationalism.

When the scientific example (the one you learned in grade two) is applied, of course it won't work... but that doesn't mean it's not true.

The fact is because we don't have all of the "scientific" qualities involved in supernatural situations, we can not prove it.

Having stated that, I want to make it clear that this does not mean that these creatures exist, it just means we don't have all of the information we need to make that assessment.

I have however met numerous people who have recounted personal experiences in great detail that they themselves did not entirely believe.

There are a lot of things that cannot be explained, and I think these creatures fall into that category.

  2. Yes, I believe in all of the above.  There are a lot of things that happen in this world that has no logical explanation.

  3. vampires? no. but spirits, ghosts, angels, demons, yes. :)

  4. yes, i do.

  5. I personally don't but a lot of people seem to. God would be a paranormal being after all, and there is quite a bit of belief in god. Belief in ghosts and hauntings seems to be pretty widespread, however if you ask people you'll find hardly any who believe in vampires, at least the scary movie variety.

  6. I have no doubt that I and others have seen what are called ghost by many people and that at times these experiences can not be adequately explained by conventional science and thought (sleep paralysis, substance use, misidentification, etc.).

In fairness the above ideas can and do explain some reports.

Once the conventional explanations are explored and rejected (easily done in most cases) then there remains the question as to what it is people are experiencing when they see ghost. Some theories include surviving spirits, events somehow being played back in the atmosphere, and people acquiring information via ESP and then projecting a ghost in order to process the information.

Depending on the individual situation one of these theories may fit better than the other. There is no reason to expect that any theory can explain all experiences of ghosts.

There are groups of human being that consume blood and call themselves vampires and they are quite real. As for the stories of myth and legend no I do not believe that such creatures exist not have there been actual reports of them by the thousands since the beginning of recorded history as there is for ghosts.

It depends on what you mean by other paranormal creatures. Yes, I believe the Komodo Dragon (not like any other normal lizard on earth) exist. Yes, I believe in the possibility of something in Loch Ness and something being reported as Big Foot. I even believe in the duck billed platypus that is very outside what a normal animal looks like.

  7. I think the idea of vampires arose in the days before bodies were embalmed and sometimes people were not really dead when they were buried.  When the graves were dug up they found evidence of people trying to get out.

As to ghosts and other paranormal beings, I would say that there are many things in the universe we do not know about at our present stage of scientific development.  We tend to dismiss something as false if it cannot be proven by the scientific method, but some things just can't be.

One cannot say that all of the people throughout history who have had unexplainable experiences were delusional or or drugs.

  8. I believe in some, not vampires (unless you mean those weird people who dress all goth-like and sleep in coffins and stuff).

However, I have to ask you, what difference does it make what people believe?

Belief does not make something happen. I hear people say from time to time that they dont believe in h**l. If there is a h**l and the Christians are right, then it doesnt matter if you believe in it or not. Its kind of like asking if you believe in gravity. I can't personally prove gravity exists, I can only show you what I believe to be its effects. But if you tell me you dont believe in it, then I guarentee you will not float off into space, no matter how much you believe i am wrong about gravity.

I think einstein was in that same situation when he disputed newtons theory of gravity, but he remained on earth.

  9. yes i do believe in ghost or actually spirits. I use to live in a really old house and we use to see a few spirits in there. It was like they were a family or something. Maybe they lived in the house long long ago.

  10. YEAH! I think its fun to think about them

  11. for the most part, no.  But I do believe in a spirit world of which we are actually part.  ;)

  12. No there's just no real evidence.Look into 99% of these claims and they fall apart. You have to take these tales you read on here with a grain of salt.Either these folks run into something paranormal everyday or most of it's made up.

  13. Yes I believe in all of that stuff, I know ghosts are real.

  14. yes
