Do you beleive life goes on after death, and why?

I just want to get an idea for how many people beleive in an afterlife, and what is your view on the subject.

i think almost all people beleive that life is eternal, just vary different views.

  1. Actually "I believe" that Christ offers us eternal life and when we accept it we already are living it (spiritually not physically).

    Death is biblicaly defined as separation from God....and that is eternal as well.  

    Refering to the common term of "afterlife"? My answer is yes.


  2. yes death gives way for life. Have you ever look at what happens to a dead tree. It decomposes and that releases nutrients into the soil for new plants to grow. That and many insects make their homes in them. It is called an ecosystem.

    Cells are created from old cells through mitosis and meiosis. I guess you can say that the parent cell 'dies' and gives life to two new cells.

  3. ITS HARD FOR ME TO BELIEVE IN AFTER LIFE BECAUSE IF I HAD LIVED BEFORE I SURE DON'T REMEMBER IT HOWEVER I WONT DISMISS THE POSSIBILITY DUE TO MY BAD MEMORY

    Why because I would rather believe and die and that be all(no afterlife)

    than to not believe and die and then when its to late, find out its all true.So I  gain it all, either way by believing.

  7. Yes, I believe life goes on after death, my grandfather died several years ago and I am still alive.

    Now, whether HE is still "alive" in another form (conscious energy, etc) elsewhere, I wouldn't know.

  10. Yeah, mark me down in the believers category. I've done too much research to not believe in the afterlife.

    I may have been born and raised Catholic, going to church every Sunday, but I've grown to think for myself.

    I believe in God mostly because I'd rather put my faith in the creation of the known universe into a divine being than some tiny dot that suddenly, for no reason, spun until it exploded.

    So now that I've got the beginning of our existence squared away, I move onto our current existence.

    Though religious beliefs have changed since the time of Man, one thing has remained constant: the belief in the soul and afterlife. Some people would say that it's just because we (humans) are scared that this just might be it.

    Too many times have people claimed to have seen a ghost or reported hauntings. I believe people have a spirit and after we're dead it is released to the other side, but occasionally gets left behind due to unfinished business. Too many occurrences have happened for it to be a coincidentic freak of nature or all made up lies. I think there's something more to life than bags of flesh that hold in muscle, blood and bone.

    Those are my beliefs.

  13. The body dies, but the soul does not. The body is what houses the soul. Therefore, when the body dies, the soul must go somewhere. As a Christian who believes in the Bible, I believe that the soul of the believer will experience eternal life with Christ after the death of the body, and those who do not believe in the gospel of Christ will experience the eternal wrath of God and eternal death after the body dies.

  17. I very much so believe that life goes on after death.i have had many experiences where i cannot believe otherwise.i know there are alot of skeptics which is fine but once you see for yourself you cannot deny that "something" happens that keeps some people here on earth.

  19. I disagree with you when you say almost all people believe life is eternal. There are many more atheists out there than you think. As an atheist I don't believe in God, therefore it follows I don't believe in Heaven or life ever after. Perhaps there is a percentage of atheists who believe in re-incarnation but I certainly don't
