  1. Whether it was triggered by human activity or part of a natural cycle is largely irrelevant. I can't understand the stupidity of the deniers who say 'it's natural, so that's okay' - It is still going to have a profound and negative impact on our civilisation, and we need to take action to minimise the effects and prevent it getting worse!

  2. i believe it was inevitable

  3. In someway we believe so it is said that all the smoke we add in the air accelerate global warming melts the ice and make ocean water rise.

People are taking precaution now rather its our fault or not we are causing some cause of natural disaster that takes over time.

Some people say its natural while other say its not they say humans are the one destroying this world by cutting down tree polluting the air and polluting our oceans and killing marine life.

So in my opinion we have a possibility that humans are changing the world climate but then again it is said by scientist that the world has suffered global warming or global cooling 3 times.

In other words the world has suffered global cooling or global warming through thousands if not millions or years.

  4. It is a natural occurance that may have been sped up by the human race.  The earth has always had time of warm periods and cold periods.  Humans my have caused the warming to occur faster than normal by putting CO2 into the atmosphere, but it would have occured anyway.  Volcanos spew much more carbon into the atmosphere and cows methane and so on go the natural occurances. Climatology shows us time of warmer periods and cooler periods thru climate proxies such as ice and sediments cores.

  5. Mixed signals from the data---

    1. Does CO2 proceed temperature and cause it

    or

    2. Is it an effect of temperature increases?

Is the ground temp data reliable enough to measure temperature increases to the fraction of a degree-- and is it even statistically possible? as the climate is so hugely complex?

As I have said before --- when the satellite data has run for another 15-20 years -- I will look at the trends and make a final judgment. Currently I believe we do not have enough good data to form a "consensus" or a final theory of why Earth's temp varies so much across the eons of time..

  6. We have now had ten years of cooling or stable temperatures

    http://www.dailytech.com/Temperature+Mon...

The graph clearly shows that 1999 and 2000 were cooling years, 2001 to 2006 were stable and 2007 another cooling year. These are direct satellite measurements from NASA, and official UN figures.

This indicates to me that the role of CO2 in our atmosphere has been substantially over estimated. It is a factor, but only one in many.

In short. Climate change is an established scientific concept, man made global warming is a political dogma.

  7. If it is real, yes.

If it is fake, then yes, only humans make fakes.

    So yes.

  8. Global Climate change is mostly natural, but through the increases of population and to higher consumption rates of said population it is increasing faster than it would have otherwise.

so i think we are just increasing what is already happening naturally.

  9. It's natural.

  10. We have to endure cycles in life, The government just pounce on the rfear factor of it to fuel their own agendas.

  11. Global warming may be a natural cycle, the scientists are still debating. However, there is universal agreement that the speed at which it is happening is man-made.

  12. It is just natural . well dats just 4rm meeh.

  13. Natural warming.

    Here is why:

  14. Global Warming is a natural phenomenon as all the heat absorbed by the sun isn't all reflected and generally there's a rise in temperature across the world over a period of time but isn't sufficient to cause any trouble or concern and that's just the way it is - but we sure as h**l made it a lot worse.

  15. Whether we like it or not the change in world average temperature matches the time-delay link in carbon dioxide production. It takes a lot for argumentative environmental scientists to agree on anything: they are all competing for the

same funding, so when the majority of them do, we should be concerned. The phrase global warming has been changed to Global Climate Change, because some areas will get warmer, others cooler and all will be characterised by uncharacteristic weather patterns. The fact no-one knows exactly what will happen means some people will prefer to believe it is not happening: Read the news.

Climate change is a normal phenomonon, but not at the pace at which it is happening now: it does not leave a lot of time for organisms to adapt and so large scale extinctions occur: as they are.  Dont look to history for an answer. this is no meteor attack.  This is our fault: take responsibility and stop burying our heads!

  16. Global warming is being helped by Humans, but sciencests are now saying that every million or so years there is an ice age and inbetween that period there is a hot spell and they believe that we are having that hot spell.

  17. i thinks its a naturally occurring cycle, which is inevitable, but has been speed up by human intervention

  18. Both. The industrial age has certainly contributed to the problem.

The scary thing is our sister planet, Venus. It has a runaway greenhouse effect.

The clouds of Venus blanket the heat in. Surface temperature being hotter than any oven.

Venus is a stark reminder the global warming is serious business.

  19. it is not exactly our fault

somewat of nature and some r ours!!

if both will cooperate then only it can b reduced

  20. until they can prove that it isn't just a natural cycle that happens over a period of millions of years, then i'm afraid i will always be skeptical of it - sorry, but research that only goes far back as 600, 000 years isn't enough to prove beyond all doubt that it is man made - this earth has been around ALOT longer than that and that means there is still alot about it that scientists do not know of - and that includes patterns that may explain exactly why we have these changes in the climate.

.. yes i say "that" alot. hehe

  21. Technically it is cow made

  22. It's natural, but aided/exacerbated by man.

    See link below, just found.

  23. Global warming is natural.  But the government and media are trying to make it out to be the fault of humans.  This strikes me as some diversionary tactic to keep the minions busy and fearful while more and more of our freedoms are slowly taken away, while more and more of our money is also sapped away though nebulous BS like "carbon credits" and "carbon offset taxes."

  24. its a naturally occuring process that has been caused by the human environment. yes, we are the major cause for it. but its a mixture..

  25. Look at historic solar activity and compare it to historic climate chance....it's completely natural.

  26. natural phenomenom that is great for the tax man

  27. Please someone show me some picture`s of global warming

  28. Most definitely natural

  29. No I don't think it is. World governments have picked up on this idea, because it's a very easy money making way of fleecing the public.

Many scientists dispute the fact of man made global warming, saying it's normal climate change, but the media only give out the stories which say we are to blame.

Avondrow, if it's a natural phenomena there's nothing we can do about it.

  30. its natural but were makein it worse but hey u onli live 1ce :D

  31. Sure climate has changed over the millions of years this planet has existed. But any suggestion that human activity can not impact on a planetary scales is simply illusion. The amount of native forest on the planet is only a small fraction of what it was before humans came along. In fact it is in just the last 200yrs that we have managed to do most of the clearing. We have managed to produce new chemical compounds, that now contaminate every corner of the planet. We even managed to create a massive reduction in the levels of protective ozone in the stratosphere! Humans are VERY capable of having planetary scale effects. Our combined activity is enough to have significant impact on the way the climate as well. Our activity has nearly doubled the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, that is a huge impact, to suggest that this will not have consequences is just foolish at best and genocidal at worst.

This particular climate change event (Global warming) is happening at hundreds to thousands of times faster than any natural climate change event, and it is mainly driven by human activity past and present. This is not a government conspiracy, governments are the last to join in here.

The country I live in has nothing to gain by espousing a GW hoax, the govt. here is far too preoccupied with ripping off the people directly with simple but effective graft and corruption, they don't need GW as an excuse, yet, they do acknowledge GW as a fact, bit hard to deny as parts of this pacific nation are already disappearing under the waves.

Lets face it the people who deny a human cause for this episode of GW are of the same kind as those who deny that smoking is bad for your health, or that apartheid is immoral, not to mention impractical, or that the earth is round, or that the earth is not the center of the universe.

I suggest that the those who refuse to see the truth, be given special psychiatric help, as it is a truly horrific mental delusion they suffer from.
