Do you believe 9/11 was an "inside job"?

I dont and this is why.

The people pushing these theories are known conspiracy theorists. Take the pentagon. They believe a cruisemissile struck the pentagon. That theory originated and started with a known french conspiracy theorists. Who is more credible? The 136 eyewitnesses that saw a plane hit the pentagon or a lone french conspiracy theorists. I know WTC 7 was NOT a controlled demolition because as it collapsed it leaned to the south. AND it would have taken months and alot of people to rig all 3 buildings, and it is impossible to do that without anyone noticing especially since the WTC was at 98% tenancy. First responders were NOT surprised WTC 7 collapsed.

Yes I agree.

WTC 7 collapsed because of a fire; while it is true that this is a rarity there was a crucial lack of water that day (for obvious reasons).

I also share Noam Chomsky's view that the Bush administration (indeed, any administration) would have been insane to try such a thing.  I mean they can't even keep the smallest details secret.

All you have to do look at all the evidence at the time and just after the Plains crashing.

look how that so-called president acted when he was told about it he nearly smiled then realise the cameras was on him and also were was he at at the time in a classroom with kids and a few adults miles away.

I applaud anyone not blindly accepting what the government tells them, that's a good thing.

But at the same time a skeptic demands to be convinced by evidence, nine eleven truthers seem to be religiously attached to their side of the story. I totally agree with Chomsky on this point. If it was just the governments word and all serious other scientists disagreed it would be diferent but it's totally opposite. All serious investigations from very different sides do support the official story, from the BBC over PBS over firefigthting magazines over other Euopean media to even al jazeera. To believe all those and everyone in between are simply covering up to protect the US government is absurd. Al jazeera got shot and bombed more than once by the US militairy

But truthers have a religion like faith so to them it's irrelevant how everyone else regards them or their theories. Everyone else is simply wrong whatever they say. People who disagree with them are either "sheeple" or "disinfo shills".

I've looked into the theories, I'm not a Bush supporter and always very prepared to look outside the conventional wisdom, but found these theories to be anti scientific and the vast majority of the people spreading them the most , the leaders of the "truth" movement, motivated by ideologies I can only reject.

The question is too complex to make a black or white answer.  And that is every body's problem in this discussion.

Do I believe that bombs were placed in the towers and it was a controlled demolition, no, that would take too many people and someone would have snapped by now and admitted it.  Do I believe that a missile hit the Pentagon, no.

However the evidence that this administration and people within it knew it was going to happen is too overwhelming to ignore.  Bush sitting there reading to kids while this nation was under attack, the SS ignoring protocol and not taking him right to Air Force One, and the PNAC outline for a "pearl harbor-like event".  Tell me that someone with an agenda got those men in this country and got them on those planes.

Not only that...there are miles and miles of video tape showing the jets crashing INTO the building.

If it had been an inside job, the jets would have crashed OUT OF the building scattering debris into the streets. This was OBVIOUSLY NOT the case.

Here is a conspiracy for you die-hards:  The DNC and the media plotted to defeat Hillary.  They knew about the Edwards Affair over ONE YEAR ago, LA Times reporters were ordered by their bosses NOT to investigate the story or they would be terminated.  

The DNC made sure Edwards stayed in the race to draw voters and delegates away from Hillary.  Then Edwards endorses Obama and awards all delegates to him.  Later the story breaks, after he is out of the race, but before Obama picked a running mate (of which Edwards was on the short list) and before the DNC Convention, perfect timing.  Nobody pulling strings here.

Not totally. I don't and can't know if US government has something to do with it (I don't think so though) But I believe a few Americans helped them. It's hard to attack an oversea country without getting any help from inside. They attacked TWO places in one day. Definetely some Americans helped them.

Of course it was an inside job, especially the demolition, even a 5 year  old can see that. there is no building that will fall straight into its foundations unless it is very carefully demolished. Remember that what ever had happened the towers needed a multi billion dollar refit to remove the asbestos. What better way to remove that problem and allow the government to go to war than having the towers demolished and kill a few people to add to the hysteria.

Oh! by the way where did the wreckage of the plane that supposedly hit the Pentagon go? There is no sign of it in any of the pictures and a large passenger plane would not be totally destroyed, not at least without damage to the lawn.

I'm sure I don't believe our governments account of what happened! The main question I have is, if our homeland security is so "state-of-the-art" then how did those planes not get shot down before they reached their destination. I thought we had better security than that! The Pentagon and NYC are No-Fly zones!
