Do you believe Al Gore is telling the truth?

The debate is over. You are not allowed to debate about Al Gore. He is a saint. He has proclaimed that global warming is the number one moral issue. The science is settled. Everything that St. Gore says is true and it is blasphemy to doubt or deny it. If you do you are a "flat earth-er" and have no credibility. Big oil is probably paying you to disagree with Gore. You are bought and payed for, and have no credibility if you dare to disagree. There will be no debate, the science is settled. Al Gore is right. He even set up a company that he can buy carbon credits from so he has a neutral carbon footprint.

  1. No, mainly because Al Gore does not have the background to understand what he is talking about.  He is just repeating things he is heard.  Al has a BA in Government from Harvard, did that require Thermodynamics or heat transfer classes?

I will list a few scientific questions that have not been answered in my mind.

    1.  Each amount of Greenhouse gas that is added will result in less heating of the earth.  Why do the models show a smiley face curve up instead of a frowny face curve up?  (They will say water vapor, see below)

    2.  Most calculations concure that carbon saturation point is around .25 deg C to 1 deg C.  What are the models saturation point?  (adding greenhouse gasses has a deminsion return due to temperature)

    3.  Water vapor is treated as a accelerant.  Do to the reflective nature of clouds is it an accelerant or decelerant?

    4.  How come early models are not correct when compared to today?

    5.  How did you use aerosols in your models.  It appears to me they were a dummy factor to get the models to match historical data?

    6.  Why is the stratusphere not the temperature it should be in the models?

    7.  Isn't the southern hemisphere cooling or not rising as fast?

    8.  The grew grapes for wine in England 800 years ago?  (they say it was reginal)

    9.  How do we know this is not regional?  Alot of data suggests that.

    10.  Temperature measuremetn locations have been in increasing urban settings, how has that affected things?

    11.  Hasn't temperature rose before carbon dioxide increased in the past?

    12.  According to your charts temperature seams to run away.  What caused temperature to fall in the past?  (they will answer carbon saturation mentioned above then solar or orbit changes, causing temp. to decrease.)

    13.  Carbon levels are higher now than then.  Does that mean we at the saturation point?

To question the runaway nature of the models is like taking something sacred.    Basically from my research I found that they use aerosols on the historical side and water vapor on the future side to make the models say what they want to.

I must say there is something to this but it will probable be about 1 deg C Top end.  Conserving energy and reduced emissions are a good thing.

Were they really get my goat is to discredit something you must discredit there science not just who paid for it.  Guess what global warming researchers are paid by people trying to prove global warming.  I can not just say you are paid by people trying to prove global warming.

  2. Al Gore is like everyone else - you give him enough alcohol & he will spill his guts (the stuff is like truth serum & works better than any lie detector test).

  3. i believe it

  4. Follow the money, YAHOO, GE, NBC, WALMART and other hyped green entities, all stand to rake it in based on feel good purchasing.

The High Pope of the Green Religion will soon be sending Jack Booted UN / Janet Reno thugs our way. Al Gore's is a prime example of the insanity of the leftists who have taken over the environmental movements of the late 60s.. I was a natural resource major in my 1st stint in college. The real concern at that time was SO2 levels causing acid rain on buildings, we'd reduced levels of SO2 in the atmosphere as the result of catalytic converter. AND as at the direction of common sense legislation.

Al Gore is a South Park comedic idiot, he is no scientists. He is a politician and he has a vested interest in things green. Truthfully, I hope in ten years we look back and he is in a nut hut talking to imaginery friends as that is where he needs to be. He has created a religion, without a deity. That is a dangerous precedent. What's worse a large portion of the population has taken the green pill..

That said the hyperbola will eventually give way to scientific reasoning again. He will be in the dust bin of History along with McCarthy. someone who sees evil at every turn and screams the sky is falling. We do have commies among us, but Al Gore is a Stalinist in every sense. The faster people wake up to that fact the better the world will be.

Quit drinking the koolaid it is making the world Sick.

Ethanol as a "biofuel" is a prime is example, we are subjegating food for fuel, and many areas of the world are going hungry as the result.

I believe we do need to look for non-fossil fuels in the future, and plan accordingly. We have 500-1000 years of coal in our western lands, Oil, Oil Sands, and Oil Shale in the Williston Basin, Green River Basin, Powder River Basin, off the shores of Florida, California and Alaska that we could be using for energy, and doing so in an ecologically friendly fashion. We have the refining technology to convert Coal to Liquid Feedstock for tranportation fuels. We can take non-food animal, human and plant biomass and convert it effectively as well. We have the technology what we need is the infrastructure.

Yes, Down the road we need to have our sights set on Hydrogen powered transportation but not as a way to restrict our current economic development but as a phased into direction to head by 2050-2075...

He is a pole smoking nut. Period. he found people who would drink the koolaid and spread the disease to others. It's that simple, he is a charlatan no more no less.

  5. Just open your eyes. Yes Gore tried to start another religion  and some were stupid enough to believe. Just look at who is making the money big time it is not Gore but the oil Co.

  6. I really don't care what Al Gore says.

  7. I believe Al Gore has to eat. He has to make a living some how. I also know Al Gore is wealthy. Where is his money coming from? Connect the dots.

  8. This -has- to be sarcasm.  There is no way that this can be a serious post.  It's funny though.

  9. What is so big about Al Gore? He merely agrees with mainstream science. Why is this so strange?

  10. Al Gore is right and his disbelievers are people who don't care about earth

  11. Just because a lot of people were unaware of Global Warming until Al began to publicize it I don't think it's reasonable of those people to expect everyone else to go all the way back to 1600 and debate everything that's happened since.  Catch up on your time not mine.

  12. Earth. Love it - or leave it.

  13. whoever is trying to stop global warming, WHICH IS REAL, i'll support

  14. I worked for Al Gore doing some climate studies.  One of the biggest problems we are having is getting the average person to see the danger and make changes in their life.  The following should illuminate what I am saying.

It was January in Washington D.C., miserable weather, sleet and rain.  The weatherman was predicting snow.  Big Al (he likes to be called that) suggested a nicer location, so the whole staff took a private jet to Bali.  Halfway over the Pacific and we get a call from Laurie David, she wanted to join us with her poodles, Molly Ivins and Jimmy Carter.  So naturally being the good sport he is, Big Al had the pilot head back to get her.  Anyways we refuel.  Kept other jets idling while we did that, the perks of working on something important like Global Warming.  Halfway out over the Pacific and someone mentions that it is summer in the Antarctic.  So we stopped for more fuel in Ecuador and then flew over the south pole.  Amazing, all that ice and snow, and to think in a few short years all of that could melt into the ocean.  So we get to Bali, stay at a five star hotel of course, why not, it's the taxpayer's money.

So we're having breakfast and we overhear one of the waiters telling the other that he had finally saved enough money to buy a little two-stroke scooter to transport he and his wife to work as well as take his children to school.  He went on to say what an improvement that has been for his family, that the kids have extra time to study, his wife who is a nurse now saves more lives, and he can work more hours at the hotel to pick up extra tip money, with which he hoped to buy books for his children.

Big Al exhales and in his ponderous way points out this conversation to us and says this is exactly what he is talking about.  Selfish people like our waiter just adding to the global warming problem.  Why can't people understand?

Anyway we rented powerboats and trekked off to a deserted island and had a big beach party to take our mind off this waiter's intolerable behavior.

  15. No he is a liar.
