  1. Yes.  He has a lot of ability to bring two opposing sides together.  He's not perfect as he will readily admit, but we need a fresh start on a new leaf and not the same old same old.  Also, people talk about "experience", but don't seem to consider that Bush had loads of "experience" and look where we are now.  McCain claims "experience", but wants to continue the war in Iraq.  The old ways of politics have worsened our situation.  We need someone with a fresh approach, because the old ways have gotten us where we are now.   Some "experienced" politicians suggested that a gas tax break for summer would stimulate the economy, but Obama is looking for the long-term fix and not a band-aid to make himself look good to get elected.

Obama has worked on service community projects.  His campaign and organization speaks about his ability to lead and make good judgement.  Whereas Hillary claimed to fix the economy, she ran up huge debts in her campaign using money she didn't have, whereas Obama's campaign had money in the bank.  He listens to both sides and has brought two opposing sides together on votes in the Senate.

He's not perfect, but I don't think we should have ever gone to war with Iraq and if so, in the name of "Iraqi freedom", then why isn't the US freeing Zimbabwe?

Also, Obama will choose his cabinet of strong people who will help advise him on issues, just as other presidents do, so it is not really a one-man-show.  He listens and is trying to make changes that will lift us up instead of bring us down.

  2. Yes, by nature of the constitution you only have to 35 and a natural born citizen, and a resident for 14 years.

  3. Yes, and I wonder what the point of this question is...

  4. Nope he has the qualifications but lacks experience.  In fact we have no one we can choose for president that will make a decent president.

  5. of course he is.

  6. No, but then I don't believe GWBush is, either.  I'm not sure that being qualified is a job qualification anymore.  Although, I suppose they both meet constitutional requirements.  Natural born citizen over 35...  I think that's about it.

  7. YES

  8. No!

  9. I love it. Someone here said he isn't corrupt. Can this person name the City that Obama has his political roots in?

Ask anyone in Chicago about the HOPE he has brought illinois and the way he has dealt with corruption.

    ZIP.

He has NO qualificiations to rule.

If he had been a business owner for 20 years and then had the little political experience he has.. THEN i would credit him.. .but he is a politician through and through.

I hold my nose and vote for the other guy.

Obama is a chicago politician... and that MEANS CORRUPTION!!!!!!

BUT THE PRESS WILL NOT PURSUE IT!!!!!

    they are lying sob's

  10. As of right now,he's pretty much the only shot we have at straightening our government towards the people and our best intrests.Whats does McCain offer?sure,he has expirence, but thats as far as he goes. What are he's plans for medicare?none. What he wants is another 300 years of war.Sure,Obama may not be the best candidate, but he's the closest we have now.Obama will NOT change the system enourmously, but he WILL take baby steps in making this country into what our founding fathers dreamed it would be.I think,Obama has alot of things to do for this country in 4 or 8 years.I think what he will do is liberate us from war in Iraq. The taxes will stiil be rocketing in the sky,Gas prices are going to stay the same.BUT he's our best bet. You've got to also remember that our countries downfall started with the war.Change to this country will not come in 4 or 8 years.Obama himself cant change this country back to what it was.It will take a few elections and presidents(that actually follow the laws of the Constitution) to finally straighten our economy and government back to what it was,and Obama will be the one to set the trend for those presidents to respect the people and give power back to the people's hands. Now as war goes, sure he may be inexpirenced but thats why he has his advisors for.To answer your question:Yes,Obama is ready to be president, and we MUST vote for him if we truly desire as a nation to go back to how our founding fathers dreamed this country would be like. And as far as epxpirence goes, some of our nation's best presidents had NO expirence such as Lincoln,Jackson, and even the great Washington. This country was built on inexprienced presidents.

  11. Yes, he is an American. Is Muhammed Ali qualified to be president?

  12. Barack Obama doesn't impress me at all. No he is not qualified.

  13. Um we have 2 canidates running... McCain and Obama...some people may dislike Obama but we need a change and I'd surely rather have a black [yes I said black] president than have McCain. I'm sick of hearing about troups dying and this pointless war...I'd be damned if we let another republican in office.

  14. He's an American citizen who wants to make things better. That's the only thing that you ever need. Anything else is just window dressing.

  15. um... I think so

  16. No. He's not experienced enough yet. Plus we just can't afford as a nation to have one party running the executive and the Legislative branches. It opens the door a massive corruption and socialism.

  17. technically, yes, practically no.

  18. Yes. He is way better than bush. And its time for change

  19. possibly, but just not militarily and he's way too inexperienced. I think he should be a senator and learn all this stuff and then run later in life.

  20. How hard can it be;-} if George could fake it?

  21. Yes. He actually has a brain and isn't corrupt.

  22. Simply, yes.

  23. NO...........I REPEAT IF YOU DIDN'T HEAR ME.............NOOOOOOOO

  24. Sorry, no.  I think he is way to inexperienced and naive.  I think all he has going for him right now is a good speech writer which, unfortunately, the way things work in the US seems to be all you will need.

I think he has the potential to be a great President, but not just now.  It's like when you make bread.  You can have all of the best ingredients, in perfect proportion but if you don't let it rise before you bake it all you are going to get is something that is flat.

Obama needs more time to mature and "rise" before he can become a good President.  He, and your country, would have been better served if he ran in 4 or even 8 years.  I fear that if he is elected all you are going to have at the end of 4 or 8 years of his Presidency is a library of good speeches and not much else.

  25. He is qualified to be President. He is not the right choice to be President.

  26. NO   , NO , NO    he s been polished as a clinton clone . even the south wont vote 4 him

  27. Everybody is going the way of giving the technical answer which is yes. But other than those things, I do not see why everyone thinks he is so qualified to be president. So my answer is no.
