  1. Which NBA team would sign him for 3.5 mil a year? I don't think he'd get an offer over 2 mil in the NBA. Plus, with the exchange rate it would be closer to 3.75 - 4 when he comes back. If a player isn't going to get offers in the NBA, why not go overseas? Especially when they don't have salary caps and can pay you whatever they want.

  2. I believe you "should have" asked whether we believe Earl Boykins "should have NOT" left the NBA for Europe.

  3. well he rejected an offer of that size last year until he realized nobody wanted him until charlotte picked him up half way through the season.  He's small, he'll be famous in Italy.  Why not?

  4. asdf

  5. Yes. For 2 reasons.

1-Most NBA teams already have their PG position locked up,so that was a reason for Boykins to bolt.

2-He will be Famous over there and he is the highest paid player in Italy.

    Who else could say that?

    Im out peace

  6. It's business. If he thinks it's best for his family, then it's best.

  7. Its good to be practical in the times like this most especially he will soon be retire. He will not worry since he contributed much in the NBA right?

  8. yes, he is getting his money's worth

  9. Salary-wise it is a logical decision.

Yet I would say Earl Boykins is still good enough to play in NBA. His subpar performance in Bobcats last season should be reviewed because his floor general role has been diminshed by coach and he should be allowed to touch the ball more. Size matters but he is a seasoned veteran who knows how to overcome such obstacle.

Anyway good luck to Boykins - yes at least he can help Cavs.

  10. no,idont think any player should wanna go to europe especially lebron geez

  11. Yeah, because he was nearing the end of his career in the NBA anyway and he will make more money in Italy then for any other team in the states.

  12. He left for Europe because he gets paid more there. As simple as that. It's ok since Boykins isn't really much of an impact player for any team.

What would be alarming is when all-stars and even superstars goes to Europe for better paycheck. That could ruin the NBA.

If that happens, expect the NBA to change their contract system so that players could get paid more than they do in Europe to win them back.
