Do you believe I got rid of Acid Reflux by adding yogurt to my diet everyday?

I promise, I use to have to buy a pack of medicine once every two weeks just to live, now...I can eat anything, as hot as I want and I am good. Is there scientific backing for this? Anyone?

  1. Maybe you lost weight?  Acid reflux has been linked to obesity.  Not implying anything though ;)


  2. Yes, I believe it.  The yogurt contains probiotics that can 'cure' an imbalance of microflora in your gut (called Dysbiosis), which could have been the cause of your reflux.

  3. No, dairy products dramatically increase your susceptibility to acid reflux and digestive disorders. Dairy isn't something the body can naturally digest after the infancy stage (remember, we're the only animals that consume dairy as adults), which causes your body a lot of digestive problems.

    Perhaps it was your medicine? Unfortunately though, conventional medicine will take away the symptoms of one problem, but cause another problem (usually more severe). And once you stop taking the medication the symptoms will continue. Have you tried taking apple cider vinegar? It's good for a variety of illnesses, including acid reflux.
