  1. I really hope my being g*y couldn't have been helped. If this is somehow my fault for watching too much Barney, or something, I swear.

That said, I honestly do believe it's purely genetic/in utero.

  2. It's hard to explain. But I totally think that it is genetic, well, maybe plus a little bit of environment factors.

I read studies in Psychology and Scientific magazines that concerned LGBT topics before. I came across one that did a statistical study on g*y males and found that in families with g**s, the female members have higher number of births then families without g**s. They are more fertile than the average females. Like it is the nature way of balancing the birth rate and sort. The study did postulate that genes play a role in whether someone is g*y.

A second one I came across is also about g*y males. They found that the more brothers a male have, the more likely the person is g*y. Also a method of balancing birth rate through genetic influences. Sorry, but I forgot where those articles came from exactly.

Then again who knows? I like both genders even before I knew what is homosexuality. It's definitely genes...

  3. I believe I was borne g*y,growing up I had crushes on other girls and looked at them in ways they were looking at the boys.and when all the kids were getting boyfriends I masked the way I really felt with lies saying that I liked things about the boys...I wasn't Even influenced by anything homosexual in the media or in my upbringing other than my (distant aunts) until grade 6 or 7 when t.A.T.u was on t.v all the time, and I was aware that I was g*y (although I didn't know what to classify my feelings as due to living in a sheltered small town) at grade 4.

  4. I know I was.  I remember thinking about being with guys when I was 4 years old... I had many crushes on guys then.  How could my parents have somehow "taught" me that at that young of an age?  I didn't even know what sexuality was.  Lol

And I was raised to be straight.  I have a very loving family and nothing was there to influence me to be g*y.

    I know I was born g*y.

    EDIT:

However, there is a small minority of LGB people who were influenced to be g*y.

The majority of g*y people know they were born that way, though.  It's a natural feeling just like straight people find it natural to like the opposite s*x.

  5. I started noticing boys the same time i started noticing girls.

So i believe it was just the way i was supposed to be. I know of nothing that could of influenced me.

I also believe everyone is different though.

I think some people are just meant to be LGBT and that maybe others can be influenced to be that way because of something in their childhood. (molestation/rape possibly, even though i hate to say it.)

  6. Personally, i don't think anyone is born a certain way.

I'm part of the school of psychology that believes that children are essentially blank slates hovering up information.

edit: It's a recognised field of study, and people look down on it?

    Sheer ignorance.

  7. yes of course. ask any LGBT person and they will tell you the same....

  8. I was born g*y, the media never really played any kind of influence on my sexuality. I did fall in love with a kid that lived down the street from me, we were both the same age I was 7 years old and he was 7 years old. But I don't think he really cared much about me.

  9. Yes, I believe LGBT people are born that way.

Scientific researchers specializing in human sexuality have shown that homosexuality is genetic.

Scientific research publications from October 2004 and June 2008 stated that scientists have found that women tend to have more children when they inherit the same genetic factors linked to homosexuality in men. This fertility boost more than compensates for the lack of offspring fathered by g*y men, and keeps the “gay” genetic factors in circulation.

A 2005 study reported genetic scans showing a clustering of the same genetic pattern among g*y men on three chromosomes - chromosomes 7, 8, and 10. The regions on chromosome 7 and 8 were associated with male sexual orientation regardless of whether the man got them from his mother or father. The regions on chromosome 10 were only associated with male sexual orientation if they were inherited from the mother.

A study from 2006 said that researchers have known for years that a man's likelihood of being g*y rises with the number of older biological brothers, but the new study found that the so-called "fraternal birth order effect" persists even if g*y men were raised away from their biological families & that "the research suggests that the development of sexual orientation is influenced before birth."
