Her credentials as a reformer are just exactly what Sen Obama wishes he had on his resume'....and doesn't.

It was McCain that has offered to smash the highest "glass ceiling" in the land....not Obama

And now there is the possibility that we may one day have a female President (if history shows that VP is a good springboard for the top job)

What say you America??????

Please opinion if you have the time, and please keep it pithy 'cause you have entered the No Spin Zone!

  1. Two wrongs do not make a right.

  2. Brains and Beauty, now that's what I call a double threat!

    There you have it Bill.

Mrs. Palin is good for the next 16 years at least!

  3. I beleive the choice is irresponsible.

there are far more qualified candidates for the position.  McCain has betrayed his promise of choosing a VP who will be able to take up the job if something should ever happen to him.

this choice seems completely political, and i think it insults many female voters.  Women do not simply vote for someone because of gender, they are going to look at govenor palins pro-life record among many other things and will find it hard to support her.

  4. I believe that Gov Palin will make a great VP and has the potential to be a great President. Who knows what the future will bring? I believe she is a great choice for right now.

  5. For the Democrats, yes.  For the country, no.

  6. No, she was a very risky choice.  No experience, was Mayor of a very small town in Alaska, and Governor of a State that is mostly uninhabitable.  A roaring wilderness!

  7. Of course it was.  A lot of conservatives hate Mcain because he is a phony.  Palin will get him a lot of votes.  Look at all the vitriol and hypocritical criticism being vomited at Palin from the libs right from the get go. She has them SCARED.

  8. well i am glad he chose her. but it would not have mattered who he chose people would have picked any choice to death!  she is like mccain tough strong and wont take bull, frankly that is just the kind of person i like who will look you in the eye and tell you exactly what they think, no stumble around for 20 seconds trying to think of an answer you might wanna here. its nice to have no bull for a change. Obama has sure been slinging enough of that to fill the rose bowl.

  9. Yes, you nailed it. The left need to trash her now.

  10. McCain is senile and mentally ill. His doctors are saying to believe him anything he does so that he will not go total nuts.

  11. You mean Rove's choice? I am sorry Karl Rove.

  12. NO!

I dont believe women OR nonwhites should be in the WHITEhouse...call me old fashioned!

  13. Even with today's news, it's a FANTASTIC choice.

This woman has more in common with real Americans and his more in tune to the issues of our society than any candidate in history.

If she and McCain are successful, this could open up a door for a whole new type of "politician".  One that has "lived" the real life.

Think about the possible "change"  that could come form having someone other than lawyers running the government.

  14. She wasn't the candidate that I was hoping for but I believe that she is the person we need for the job of vice-president.

  15. No, she is too pro choice.

  16. There are so many better choices he could have made, including women.

This one has to many controversies right off the bat.

    She is a poor choice.

  17. I was a little surprised by McCain's pick, but I think it's a great tactical choice. I believe she'll do a great job.

  18. Yes. Everything that McCain lacked as an appealing candidate: Youth, Conservatism, fierce anti-cronyism, executive experience, she has. And she is also a Washington outsider which means all his years as a "roll with the punches" congressman will be balanced by her outside views.

It was as good a choice as Obama's pick of Biden....he's an elder, been in Congress for decades, has foreign affairs experience and will not outshine the "rockstar" that has become Barack Obama. Perfect.

By the way...Palin is the only one of the four with any executive experience balancing budgets and managing military. Hm.

  19. good choice.....not a washington insider.......and not related to any lobbyist.  she has excellent family values, and has earned my vote

  20. Hard one to call. Seems as though her strength and weakness columns are the same length.

  21. Yes Mr. O'reilly, I do think she is a fine choice.

    How is that for pithy?

  22. I think its a great choice.

I like Sara Palin SO  MUCH. She will be a great role model for young/teenage girls. :)

  23. John McAn-us hasn't made any good moves since he began his run for the presidency...

I actually use to like him until he sold out.

  24. Yes, she's a pretty good choice.  Not a lot of experience (Not that the Democratic side has much either).  She's conservative and has her heart in the right place and she's intelligent.

I don't think experience is a major pre-requsit for the job anyway, I don't know why people keep making such a big deal of it.  (Especially when Obama is just as in-experienced).

All in all I'd giver her 9 out of 10.

  25. This follows in grand tradition of picking vice presidents exactly like Spiro T. Agnew.

  26. Excellent choice. Something that wakes the base up. Everyone always says Washington is broken and if we only had a normal not silver spoon person in charge things will be better. This is that moment.

  27. She was a risky choice, but McCain likes to take risks.  I was expecting Romney, but I don't think Romney would have energized the ticket the way Palin can given her track record as a reformer .  Romney is wealthy; the dems would have hammered on that, saying that the GOP is anti-middle class.  McCain desperately needed someone on the ticket who could energize his base and shake up the race some.  Chosing Palin seemed to effectively accomplish that.  I'm eager to find out how this will pan out in the months ahead.

  28. A GREAT choice for the democrats!  Thank you, Mister McCane!

  29. Yes, she has everything but experience. Better the vice president with not much experience than a president.

  30. Ridiculous choice, insulting to the American voter and frightening lack of thought into who might inherit the most powerful position in our country.

Someone who proposes preaching creationism rather than science; someone who would force a daughter to have a baby if she were raped - a question she was asked and now she has a pregnant daughter; someone who has so little experience in politics and zero experience in foreign affairs and only recently got a passport...

THIS is the ONLY candidate McCain found?  Someone so underqualified?  You've got to be kidding.

  31. Yes, it was his only chance of victory, had he picked ANYONE else that wasn't a woman, he couldnt've won.
