Do you believe Old Wives Tales?

Question

i heard the ring and the string tale.

personally i believe it is true

everytime i do it

its ALWAYS, ALWAYS the same!

if it circles its a GIRL

if it goes up and down or side to side its a BOY

but when do you know when its stopped?

does it stay complety still

e.g if it circles x2

goes bk/fwrds x1

then stops. or stays still.

ur jsut having 2 girls & one boy?

& what other old wives tales have you heard - x

We have hundreds of Old Wives Tales here in the UK and yes i think there is some truth in them.

These tales came about when life was very very basic, and most things were tried and tested.

some old wives tales av a bit of substance but most are just bull c**p

who ever falls asleep first on the wedding night dies first.

there maybe some that are true. some of the tales were just a little common sense back when the world was simpler. some of them. i think, were used as a tale of warning, kinda like urban legends.
