  1. ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!!!!

ETA: Oh my ******* god, I just read that artical, I just think I need to go throw up now, OH MY GOD! How could anyone EVER do that to a child? I dont give a **** how sick you are

  2. Foster care needs so much reform, it is sickening.

That article is sickening.  To think the women only was in jail for 8 years for her crimes.  Our justice system is sickening.

  3. Too weird, I was just doing a blog post on this tonight. I think that it really needs to be all about "child placement reform." That encompasses such a large amount of reform that is needed into one position.

Adoption, foster care need so much improvement its not even digestible at times.

  4. Yes.

Children in Foster Care or being Adopted are starting out their lives in turmoil and disruption.  They don't deserve any further traumas.

Because Screening and Monitoring is totally something within our ability to control, there is no reason abuse should ever be allowed or tolerated.  Ever.

CHILD  PLACEMENT REFORM is in everyone's best interests.  It benefits not only the children, but society and the adoptive parents.

That any of these horror stories that make the news occurs, and all of the many horror stories that don't make the news, is a serious indictment of our values as a country, of our humanity as a culture, and our ability to manage our own domestic affairs.  A small investment here, to protect and nurture our most unfortunate but precious resources, our children, could also save millions of dollars in reduction of mental health, legal, police, and incarceration services.

When are we going to get smart and invest in society and families?

  5. OF COURSE! Both are BROKEN systems in this country. I'm saddened by the state of both in this nation! I'm adopted and I'd love to see adoption made easier and cheaper and YES, g*y people should be able to adopt. We have too many kids growing up in foster care without parents. Thats a big part of my beef with America.I love my country but I hate the way we do people here. I hate pro-lifers who love the unborn but don't try to change laws for the BORN people. Many minorities linger in foster care w/o hope and no one cares. I like that Brad and Angie put a light on adoption, I jsut wish they'd have more courage and adopt Americans. It makes me a little mad that they adopt foreigners. It's almost 'VOGUE' to geta foreigner, but Americans are not so cool. So I hate that part, but I admire what they are trying to do by having a multiracial family; that's cool....We need a President to attack adoption and foster care. Adoptions are too expensive and there are alotof good parents that cannot afford the$$ to adopt, but they have the love to give!

  6. i dont believe in adoption i think they r wrong for doing it, n foster care i think they could do better.

  7. yes i do i think it could help a kid grow up better and have a healthy start of a life if they r going to a good home/new parents
