Do you believe all people should be equal?

This isn't in regard to race or religion. Its more about those who fail to be upstanding citizens (meaning: Intentionally or unintentionally causing harm to those around them, or being unproductive) while I believe being indifferent or apathetic to those around you is as bad as actively hurting those around you, I can't possibly say that they should be active, knowing that it takes away from their fundamental right to be happy. I believe those detrimental or a burden to society, shouldn't get the privelage of essentially being parasites to the entire society not should they recieve the benefits of a productive citizens.

In the USA the law says we are equal, as long as we play by the rules. If killing people makes you happy, You are not playing bu the rules. Because you interfered with anthers pursuit of happiness.

Totally agree with you.

We are all born equal, but through our decisions some people rise above others and others sink below.

Someone on welfare stealing from good citizens is not equal to someone like Martin Luther King.

People rob and steal from others then ask the government for money. Or when they get robbed themselves they get all angry like they don't deserve it.

I think we need a new judicial system, we are becoming to forgiving of criminals and people who don't even try at life.

Loaded question.  Not in regards to race--but I think that (and I'm not sure if you call this under equality or what) what you said is kind of what i was thinking--but also those on welfare-they shouldn't get taxes back-when they don't pay them in etc.!!!  Could go on & on & on.....

The view you are taking with regard to those a burden to the state, on welfare and public assistance, is the view from the conservative right.. Although politics are never inferred, its the lack of compassion for the underprivileged,and even those who will not be productive for what ever reason.. Given the option, of a good job with funds and benefits to support oneself,, studies have proved that 91% of all peoples studied would and want to have this productive situation.. When also studied,, Only 1% of the federal  buget allocations are for welfare and public assistance.. 79%   of those benefiting from public welfare,, are children..All facts being given indicate,, It is the attitude of those who are not the less fortunate,,who tend to degrade the human condition,, because  the less fortunate are the easist targets.. One should thank his lucky  stars that he is  fortunate to have all he needs to be productive,,and not begrudge the poor and those in need for their plight!!!  I am  indeed happy to provide our fellow Americans  down on their luck whatever they need,,,especially  since we others have been fortunate enough to be prosperous!!!                                    SOLOMON
