  1. Yes I believe it !! Just look at the weather in your area!! Is it the same as it was just 10 years ago?? Everywhere you go the weather has changed !!

  2. yes, the carbon in the atmosphere is preventing heat from reflectin off the Earth, so it is changing our climates.  The CO2 is from pollution and fuel consumption.

  3. Mostly.  Because that's what the data says.

"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change. And I was convinced that if we didn’t do something about this, we would be in deep trouble.”

Vice Admiral Richard H. Truly, USN (Ret.)

Former NASA Administrator, Shuttle Astronaut and the first Commander of the Naval Space Command

There's an overwhelming amount of peer reviewed scientific data that says that.  Short and long summaries.

Science is quite good about exposing bad science or hoaxes:

There's a large number of people who agree that it is, who are not liberals, environmentalists, stupid, or conceivably part of a "conspiracy".  Just three examples of many:

"Global warming is real, now, and it must be addressed."

    Lee Scott, CEO, Wal-Mart

"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."

    Senator John McCain, Republican, Arizona

“DuPont believes that action is warranted, not further debate."

Charles O. Holliday, Jr., CEO, DuPont

There's a lot less controversy about this is the real world than there is on Yahoo answers:

And vastly less controversy in the scientific community than you might guess from the few skeptics talked about here:

Here's the explanation about why, historically, CO2 lagged warming (it isn't doing that this time):

  4. duh.... if theres more carbon dioxide in the air the atmosphere gets thicker trapping more heat! and now because of all the Co2 we're putting into the air the temperatures are going way up which is creating major weather problems: bigger storms, floods, droughts, etc. so unless we do something we will have a big problem on our hands.

  5. yes as c02 absorb heat and trees are geting less from around the world( trees absorb carbon dioxide), it is the main reason of global warming.

  6. Yes, I believe Co2 is at least in large part responsible for global warming.

Because every non-biased scientist on the planet agrees.  There is no debate over what causes global warming.

  7. Doesn't seem to be.

If you look at graphs of CO2 levels and temperature through history, the increase in temperature happens BEFORE the increase in CO2.

That seems to tell me that temperature is driving CO2 levels.. and not CO2 driving temperature.

  8. Yes and No. There is a lot of CO2 in the atmosphere and we should do something about that. But besides CO2 there's also methane gas, but no one says anything about that because it can damage the beef industry. Water is actually the main greenhouse gas, but there's no way of getting rid of that so the only thing that can be taken care of is carbon dioxide. So CO2 is only partly responsible for global warming.
