  1. I believe it whole heartedly, as cliched as it is.

I have found, though, that in order for me to believe it, I had to come to terms with everything awful that I have encountered in my life and find a peace within myself.

  2. No, I don't.

Most people take the law of causality wrongly and cross the border between natural and supernatural domains; which is a no-no. When they cannot make sense out of something, they surrender into the idea that something cosmic (that they don't understand) must have caused it or must have a reason.

Well, in natural world, random things do create chains of effects and it happens within the borders of natural laws. There is no supernatural entity that designed this. So, to say "every happens for a reason" is false.

  3. yes in the strangest ways... or maybe... no 4 wouldnt that mean ur life was already decided 4 u... idk im yes and no

  4. I agree with you but I do understand why others might hold this "believe":

"I was born in a low-income family and my mother died when I was six. This collection of events inspired me to work hard and become a professional so that I could help others going thru similar situations. I met a wonderful woman, who eventually became my wife and died in a car accident after 6 years of marriage, leaving me alone to raise 2 children. Her dead really helped become a better father and be there for my kids. After putting both my kids thru college I found out that I had cancer and that my life soon will come to an end. WHY??? uhm..Well, it has to be God's plan for me, of course, it can't be anything else. Things don't just happen, that would be silly, all the regions of the world where over 50% of the population has AIDS, slavery, colonization, love, television, music, racism, it all has to be part of the divine plan, That has to be it. There has to be a supreme creator who knows this stuff, but of course he doesn't need a reason or cause for his existence because HE WAS, IS and ALWAYS WILL BE, he exists out of time and space and by the way, he looks a lot like me too, I know all this might sound cynical, illogical and unexplainable, and sometimes very very convenient, but God has to be the answer AS THERE IS NO OTHER ANSWER AVAILABLE."

  5. I do. It's my motto.

  6. well there is cause and effect in this world:

ex. there is a reason that its raining now.

but if you're talking about supernatural reasons: NO

  7. Yes I do and I kinda have a story for that.

When I was a little younger like 12 I have not seen or heard from my dad and my step mom in a year or two because idiotic people were telling my mom lies about them,One day my little brother had a seizer(sp?) and had to go to the hospital. When we went to visit him.we saw my dad and step mom there..My dad,mom and step mom had a talk and now we got to see him every weekend..I'm 16 now and I'm thankful that happen because I would have never got to see him before he died when I was 15.  It sucks that my brother had a seizer(sp?) but if he didn't we would have never got to see our dad again and plus my brother is perfectly fine

So yes things do happen for a reason

  8. No, I think its impossible for anything to happen for a reason, that means you life is already planned ahead for you, to me that the same as not even being born since your life was over when it began. Everything you do contributes to what happens next, since I can't see the future I don't know, but that sounds right to me...

  9. For every action, there is reaction.  We have an opportunity to take literally everything that come our way, and allow it to be our teacher.  So is that reason enough?  Life is lesson, and we take it or leave it.  (that's the free will... ;)

  10.   No. Everything is random when ordinary folk are concerned, we just don't matter that much in the scheme of things. On the other hand, sometimes important things seem to be planned. Example; Think about this; The whole world that we have today is happening because a driver took the wrong turn 94 years ago! In Sarajevo in 1914 the driver of the heir to the Austro- Hungarian empire went the wrong way and an assassin killed the Duke and his wife. Because of that we had the first ww, that led to ww2 that led to the Communist bloc and the cold war etc. The number plate of the Dukes car is A 11 11 18 It is still in existence WW1 ended in an Armistice on 11 11 1918. Hitler was in WW1 Only about 15 original men of his regiment lived through the war. He was in the front line, he was wounded and won the Iron Cross 1st class for bravery, he ended the war in hospital  gassed. Why did he live when more than a 1000 of his comrades died?

  11. No.

Everyone always says that, but what's the reason?

  12. Yes I strongly do believe whatever happens happens for good and for a reason. Our lives are designed by the creator in such a way that we never get free, cos a soul always wants to be doing something. Its no fun being free and empty. So God has given us waves of happiness and sadness. Good times and Bad Times for us to enjoy life to the fullest. So keep enjoying every phase..
