  1. yes, we do a large portion of it and also pooting cows.

  2. Yes.

    Harleigh Kyson Jr.

  3. No.  The earth has been warming up since the end of the Ice age.

  4. O've course, but people say no because they don't want to get blamed.

  5. I Think it's ALL caused by humans, not mostly.

Everything good and bad in the world has been caused by humans. EVERYTHING.

What do the animals do? :/

  6. No, because it's not. There were medieval warming periods when grapes were growing in Northern England, and they weren't caused by Carbon Dioxide. Ice core research has shown that rising temperature makes CO2 go up, not the other way round. World temperature dropped ever so slightly from 1940 until until around 1975, surely that's when a lot of CO2 was being produced? All human CO2 produced adds up to 6 gigatons of CO2, animals and bacteria produce 150 gigatons, and volcanoes make about 300 gigatons. The IPCC uses the names of scientists who left and government people who had nothing to do with it are used in the author list. The IPCC claims that mosquitoes will only live in places where the temperature is above 16-18 degrees C in winter, but in the 1920s there was a malaria epidemic in the USSR and 30,000 people got it in Arkangel, where it was freezing. The pollution we need to cut down on is soil pollution and water pollution, because these are so dangerous and bad. We also really need to stop cutting down forests, because native people and so many plants and animals are in serious danger. Also, in the medieval warm period, the temperature was higher. Human produced CO2 makes 0.018% of the atmosphere, that can't be doing anything to the environment. People say thing like "Look at the ice melting! It's our fault." Well, most of the pictures we see are taken in Summer, when the ice does melt. It's like taking pictures of trees in Autumn and saying all the leaves are dying and it's our fault. Most of the 0.6 degrees C temperature rise that has happened since records began happened before 1940, when C02 production was really limited.

  7. i think yes because we are the only life on earth that uses thing that provide smoke or heat. none of the other animals know how to do that . so we are the only one.

  8. NO, But I believe we have a responsibility to conserve energy, preserve our environment and recycle everything that is feasibly possible.

I think for the most part, the discussion on (Global Warming) is much like our modern day court system. Both sides just try to prove their side. Both sides have extreme activists. Money is a major player, and the right thing or the moral thing to do is not high on priorities.

Al Gore really stands out and has really hurt the Global Warming cause with his commentary and egotistical version of the earth's natural Climate changes. His movie an inconvenient truth is a really bad movie by the way.

There is a small amount of fact there, but little to no absolute truth as to what or who caused it.

The only difference is that the global warming issue has no definitive answer equivalent to jury and /or Judge.. only the time holds our future or fate.

I do not believe that we are causing a doom & gloom warming catastrophe.  I do know that we need to prepare now by conserving energy, preserving nature and preparing for the next climate change.

  9. d**n straight.....I have never seen a cow driving a huge great SUV or a sheep chucking garbage in the sea or a dolphin engaged in large scale commercial fishing and destroying its habitat or an elephant posting dumb comments on yahoo answers about the non existence of global warming. Sorry, I am not suggesting this is a dumb comment just that some of them are.....

  10. have you ever heard of the sun and nature.......

  11. no i donnt think so. Its cycle we are just part of it.

  12. Today here is what we know:  many of mankind’s advancements cause earth surface to warm, destroy the ozone layer, kill off endanger species, heat cities, and in some way cause more destruction.  Blacktop (roads and parking lots), buildings, air pollution (causes lung and other diseases), deforestation, duststorms (which increase hurricanes and cyclones and cause lung diseases), fires (cause pollution, mud slides, and deforestation), refrigerants (like CFC's), solvents (including benzene destroy the ozone layer raising skin cancer rates) and plastics; cars, airplanes, ships and most electricity production (causes pollution including raised CO2 levels) are human problems we need to fix to keep life on earth sustainable! That is why I founded CoolingEarth.org, a geoengineering web sight. The federal government needs to adopt a pollution surcharge to balance the field and advance new technologies. We must pay the real price of oil (petrochemicals) including global warming, cleanup and for health effects. But with that we must understand we have never seen what is now happening before. CO2 has never lead to temperature change, but temperature change has led to increases in CO2. The models have to be made as we go along with little evidence! The result is:  change is on the way, we just do not know what changes. But again adding a small amount of CO2 to the atmosphere enlarges the earths sun collection causing warming; increase water in the atmosphere and they form clouds cooling earth but causing flooding. Even natural events are warming earth and causing destruction. The sun has an increased magnetic field causing increases in earthquakes (more destruction), volcanoes (wow, great destruction), and sun spots. Lighting produces ozone near the surface (raising air pollution levels). But humans have destroyed half of the wetlands, cut down nearly half of the rain forest, and advance on the earths grasslands while advancing desertification which increases duststorms. The USA Mayor's have taken a stand and I believe are on the right track, we can have control and can have economic growth. With the peak of oil in the 1970’s, the peak of ocean fishing in the 1980’s, humans must stop procrastinating and make real changes to keep earth sustainable including in the energy debate, finance and regulation. The sun is available to produce energy, bring light to buildings and makes most of human’s fresh water. Composting is the answer to desertification. New dams are the answer to fresh water storage, energy and cooling earth by evaporation, we need many small one all over (California needs 100 by 2012 and has not even started).

President Bush has made a choice of energy (ethanol) over food and feeding the starving people around the world; this is a choice China has rejected.

  13. definitely yes!

  14. nope!!  not at all!! show me ONE JUST ONE concrete document that shows that CO2 emmissions or man has caused this!! you can't. it doesn't exist.

if you are really wondering about this, do your won research that is NOT tied companies like ABC, NBC, or CBS. NBC especially! NBC is owned by GE. GE is one of the most heavily invested companies in the world trying to develope and sell "green" technologies...

i have attached a link to a site that will take you to a page that has over 250 other links to places like NASA and NOAA that will debunk ANYTHING that you have seen that says humans have caused global warming

  15. No

  16. no about 30 years ago there was a problom called global cooling it will balance out then you hippies will have something else too worry about

  17. as long as there are gasoline combustion engines there will always be a fear of global pollution

  18. Of coarse:

    A. The greenhouse effect is based on established physics that goes back 200 years. The greenhouse theory basically says that certain molecules (greenhouse gases) will absorb outgoing infrared radiation (sunlight that’s been reflected off of Earth’s surface).

The theory of gravity is also three hundred years old. This theory can never be proven to a 100% certainty (it could all just be intelligent falling, right?) but I still believe in gravity.

Both of these theories have been tested and retested, and are about as close to “fact” as possible within the framework of the scientific method.

    B. The concentrations of greenhouse gases have dramatically increased since the beginning of the industrial revolution. For example, the concentration of CO2 has increased by 35% over the pre-industrial baseline concentration that has existed for many thousands of years.

    C. It doesn’t take a climatologist to understand that increases in greenhouse gas concentrations from manmade sources will lead to an enhanced greenhouse effect (ie. anthropogenic {manmade} global warming).

  19. Yes, I do

Because of us we are experienceing lots of dermatic changes in our planet. Its all caused by HUMANS! Who eles is doing this?, monkeys?! NO we are were the ones destroying our planet, and were the ones who are going to pay for it.

  20. Hey!,

Actually global warming is a phenomena which has  a devastating effect on the future. The rise in sea level annually is just 1/2mm per year.Which hardly the size of a normal human hair.So it is not a myth cause we have seen effect which was caused by things taking place long ago.

  21. Yes I do

It is the fault of cutting down trees by the second, fossils fuels being released throughout the world, and the various ways people pollute such as by smoking cigarettes, building campfires, and other little things.

  22. No I don't. I think it is being hyped up for the sake of profit pure and simple. if you ever watch news it is all hyped up news and what is usually the cure for the hyped up fears? regulations and reduced standard of living. taxes, more taxes, more taxes,  this fear ot that means more regulations, less standard of living, more police state, less freedoms, more poverty, more population control measures designed to make it easier for the few on top to control and enslave people for their personal profit. enviromental concerns is an excuse not a reason for population control.

it all boils down to playing on the fears of the ignorant masses who seldom know (especially with schools deliberatly dumbing down americans) truth from lies, who believe everything the news or government tells them, thinking they would never deliberatly lie. SAY WHAT! they lie all the time, right to your face and they know they are lying.

reminds me of the scripture in proverbs or ecclesiates, the inexperienced one puts faith in every word but a shrewed one considers his steps.

personally I hope it does warm up considering all the wonderful benefits. and remember this we have more droughts and water shortages and food shortages and natural disasters due to mismangment on the earthly level (as opposed to the chemcial in the air level) and deliberatly manipulation of the food supply, water and other resources and poor engineering of homes and businesses in flood prone areas.

and these tornados, floods and droughts arent going to magically improve because we cool the planet, these are here to stay no matter what temp the planet is under.

    RRRRR

  23. No, do we have a hand in it, maybe, but totally responsible, no.

  24. Since CO2 is emitted by hoomanz, and certain hoomanz keep emitting the phrase "global is caused by peeplez" [thus releasing VAST amounts of CO2, even tho plants love it (ssh it's an ebbil gas)] then possibly global warming is caused by folks who keep sayin it is. :D

  25. yes and if not all by humans we run the other causes

  26. i totaly agree w/ JD

yes it is caused by mostly humans

also, by breading cows to make Big Macs, we are encoraging cows to f**t, another smaller cause of global warming
