Do you believe global warming is real and if you do what are you doing to stop it?

Al Gore's "inconvenient truth" was convincing enough, but there are still the "flat earthers" that continue to deny global warming. What do you think?

  1. i really dont. it's just a part of life but i do think we are speeding it up.

  2. yes global warming is real. it really destroys earth (well almost). well the thing to stop it is not throwing litters in the river, lake, or sea (it will get smelly). and also not too many pollution. for ex: people smoke, smoke of the factory, and smoke from the car, boat, and motocycle. so please save the world to be not a disaster of a huge catastrophe!!

  3. no global warming, I believe the world is going through a cycle. And the world has only heated up 1 degree in the past 100 years.

And all you people that think that global warming is real, try living in Mnitoba for a month, you will think al gores crazy too.

  4. I think those that deny it are being paid to say that, there were doctors paid to say smoking is fine. $ can do allot these days.....trust nothing, do your research

  5. We may have accelerated global warming, but we may not be able to undo that to stop going through the hot end of the cycle.

Not only CO2 but also methane and increased water vapor are now in hte atmosphere, and unlikely to return to 'normal' within 500 years. Global warming itself drives increases in these gases in the air, so that once we do the damage, it is beyond our ability to entirely reverse.

We can do our best to both conserve fossil fuel and minimize emissions, not with the thought that we can stop GW, but that we may be able to reduce the highest temperature to be reached.

It will not so much matter whether we have higher averages as it will matter that we experience highest maxima.

  6. It's real, it's natural, it cannot be stopped.

  7. I really don't believe in Global Warming. Even though I don't believe it I try my best to be conservative. If you really interested go here:

It's might have some answers for other questions involving Global Warming.

  8. That's why the movie was called an "Inconvenient Truth" because it is one.  Global warming is very real, but a lot of people don't want to accept it since it would mean a change in their lifestyle.  It is just a form of denial on their part.  There is just such overwhelming evidence to support it now.  For me, whether is exists or not doesn't matter, I want to make sure my kids have a better Earth to exist on than I do.  Anyone who can't see this can't get beyond their selfish ways.

  9. If you found that movie convincing then you need to read a bit for yourself. No one agrees that his conclusions about sea level rise or temp increases are valid. CO2 levels were 10 times as high as they are now 440 million years ago and it was an ice age! The GW advocates insist on using ice core data which has been called into question and computer models, ignoring direct measurements of CO2 in the atmosphere over the last 180 years. It's been far higher than it is now during that time so why wasn't it hotter then? It's also been much lower during that same time frame, but advocates prefer to use graphs from James Hansen of NASA's GISS and others that have been tweaked until they show the desired steady upward slope.

CO2 almost always rises centuries after temp increases, not the other way around. The world is too complex for the CO2 theory of global warming. Now that it's gotten colder they call it climate change, thus they're right no matter what happens. In a single year nearly all of the temp gains over the last century vanished. It may begin warming again (it hasn't warmed since 1998) but it may instead get cooler, maybe a lot cooler.

  10. Yes i believe in Global Warming. Lots of peeps think it means that the earth is gonna boil and burn. It has never meant that, global warming has always meant climate shift and climate change. And from what i can tell, the climate is changing.

  11. ofcourse it real and many r feelin it hapening rapidly

people should b educated about the concequences of global warming

and i would prefer to u less energy n less carbon emission in my daily life

  12. Global warming co2 so stop breathing ?

  13. global warming is true at least is what I am sure of, i really do believe global warming is starting to take over the earth i think people dont really care coz they think in their little mind 'i won't cause a whole in the ozone if i throw this can on the floor' but just think of it, think if all the people on the earth did this or even half of the populatiod did it, what would the effect be? i had over 100 fights with my mom about throwing rubbish in the wrong rubbish bin, it might sound stupid, but if everyone cared about the enviroment and the rising levels of carbon dioxide and sea levels and temperatures during summer, if you just thought about it for 10 mins. you would realize that global warming is true, and we should all pay more attention at it.

  14. Mikie said it right.

  15. I think global temperature rises and falls over long, long periods. Too long for someone to measure in a lifetime.
