  1. I am certainly not that stupid!I have to only walk down any street in the UK

  2. No I do not. Even if they knew the correct figure they would lie

  3. The Government of Today will be too scared to admit to the Numbers that might be close to the truth as they know it. They have been bribed by Block Votes from Faith Groups and know thatThe truth would hurt them in the elections. One can see how scared they are when they are backing away from supporting their Colleague Jack Straw over the wearing of a veil masking the face .All credibility of their party is at an all time Low.

  4. Our government don't anything about the immigration numbers however they do know precisely how much the deep round top bath with gold taps costs from John Lewis

  5. I dont believe anything the government says. The only thing I believe about politicians is that they lie whenever their lips move

  6. The government tell you what they think you want to hear.E.G.Rotherham has a population of 250000.The country has a population of 60000000.this means 1 in every 240 people live in Rotherham. If that doesn't, convince you .Look at unemployment figs and then look at the people the government doesn't, include and this gives you a feeling of security. If the government didn,t lie about stats we would see how the rich the rich are and how poor the working class are.The government are protecting themselves .

In answer to the question the word is guestimates

  7. i think they go eni meni miny mo and pick a number randomly, i dont think they have a clue whose coming in

  8. They have no idea at all.

Extrapolating the relatively reasonable data from a few years back produces horrific figures.

Which fits well into how many of my neighbours fit 8 into a two bed flat.

  9. Immigration is a hot political potato so they underestimate the no's coming in and forget about the illegals, also lots of people come in legally and decide to stay when they see how good it is here and the government cant measure this.

  10. Tracking population movement has been historically bloody hard to do, and unless you want everyone to be security tagged and ID'd, it won't change anytime soon.

The Government can only go on what the evidence provides.  Sometimes it's right, sometimes it's wrong.  It gathers information from think tanks, local councils, censuses, Parliamentary committee reports, and elsewhere.  The level best it can do is estimate.

Cut it some slack (but not a lot).
