Do you believe government should own gas & oil rights ?

in the USA , lease out the operations and pay for that operations by taxes. As of now gas companies are making profits and we're still getting taxed....what do you have to say?

No. Anything ran by the government is a big mess. The government would just s***w everything up. There are other companies that make huge profits. Microsoft, Apple.

I am not from USA, but I think that you political system is made to protect onlt its profits not what is right

Government screws up every program they touch. They s***w the people every chance they get.

No...i don't believe.   if you give the rights to govt, the matter will go to worst.  The govt is fully surrounded by politicians.  They are not for people, i mean politicians.  Atleast, we are getting with higher price, but if you give rights, we can't get as we are getting now.  you can impose restrictions on gas companies by bringing law and govt can watch the transactions, but it should not take the right.  This is my opinion, accepting and rejecting my arguments are your choice.

If it's on federal land then what are you suggesting that no leases be permitted or they have no right to the oil in the first place? The oil companies are taking oil and gas from federal lands and the taxpayers are not being reimbursed for this! Billions are being handed to these oil companies to the detriment of the people!
