  2. It's rediculous and I can't believe books still sell this garbage--and that people buy it wishing to practice it.

    Probably one of the most essential Wiccan laws is the Law of 3. Which basically (summary) says that the energy you put out comes back to you threefold. Forcing your will on another, cursing, attempts at black magick--not only do they NOT WORK but the negativity comes back x3 (think karma or the "Golden Rule"). So essentially it works if you're a masochistic person but I'd have to say no.

    Either way, no need to fear. If someone threatens you with this or a voodoo doll (actually used to heal people btw) just laugh at them. A lot.

  3. Trust me, sweetie, if someone puts a curse on you, the bad karma they build up from placing it is going to do worse to them.

  8. I know that curses don't work from a situation that happened to me and some friends some time ago.

    A bunch of us Christians were walking around together down town when some bikers (h**l's angels type, with chains, leathers, the works) came up and challenged us, knowing we are Christians.

    There was a couple of minutes (2 or 3 minutes) of silence when finally the lead biker said something to the effect that because THEIR master could not tempt OURS, so neither could THEY tempt US.  Then we found out that they tried to put a curse on us using satanic "prayers" and "black magic" that was supposed to damage our minds somehow.

    God IS greater than satan!  The Bible even says, "Greater is He who is in you (i.e. the Holy Spirit of God), than he who is in the world."

  10. Only if they believe in it and know you are doing so.  Black Magic? Now here is the thing. Magic, black or white is still magic.  Magic can be used for good or bad, but those who know do NOT use it against others because it may come back to them in like form. Plus, you need to know all the sides of magic to be balanced.  Sometimes Black magic is good where white is bad, depending on how it is used.  Never use it though unless you know what you are doing because you might do something you will regret later.Hope this helps
