Its a two and a half hour long debate between a evolutionist and a creationist.

If you don't already know I was a believer in evolution before I saw the debate and the other videos. The entire seminar on disproving evolution is a whopping 14 HOURS long so make sure you get comfortable in your seat.

I guess I will start off with my answer. I believe in creationism and that something created us. It could be interpreted in many ways. It could be God, it could be a VERY intelligent alien or some galactic ruler. I personally believe God created us and the Earth is infact 6000 years old as stated in the bible. I believe Humans and dinosaurs did coexist together and dragons were infact dinosaurs.

I don't believe the different soil layers are deposited over thousands of years. If so how come there are tree fossils where the tree is protruding up right through the rock layers. The tree would decay and fall apart before it would get petrified leading to a theory of a great flood.

I highly suggest you see the debate for yourself. It is two and a half hours long and if you still believe in evolution is comepletely correct after it then you are very stubborn and biased. Don't get evolutionary adaptation mixed up with macro evolution. Microevolution is testable science but macro evolution is what is taught as if it was truth when it is not even testable which makes it not even science.

Do you believe in creationism or evolution and what is your religion?

If you feel I am wrong and have watch all 14 hours in the video and still wasn't satisfied then I will give you a link to the guy who explain's creationism's website so he can answer your question directly and give you the response you want.

  1. I believe that you are absolutely delusional.

The Earth us much older than 6,000 years, and evolution is real.  Get over it.

  2. I know evolution is real and that creationism is a bunch of BS.

  3. An equivalent question:

Do you believe in science or the creation story from Norse mythology?

"The giant Ymir and the icy cow Audhumla were created. Ymir's foot bred a son and a man and a woman emerged from his armpits..." The stories are even better than the Bible. ;-)

  4. If you were convinced by Kent Hovind, I'm sorry to say that, but you're an idiot.

His arguments have more holes in them than Swiss cheese.

  5. I'm a Christian and I believe in the literal 6 day creation. I have been watching the video series you have posted and have to say it is a great series. Hovind is good at what he does, but a few of his beliefs are a little out there. Some people like to discount the 99% truth he shares based on the 1% speculation, which is unfortunate.

A word of advice also, be sure to differentiate between the observable verifiable "Survival of the Fittest" aspect of evolution and the false "Origin of Species" aspect when debating. Survival of the fittest brought us different breeds of animals and different features in people. This is often considered evolution as well, so many people will immediately discount anything you say because they will assume you are saying that this "Survival of the Fittest" type of evolution is not true when you are actually refuting the idea that we all evolved from apes and primordial ooze.

  6. God created us, so I believe in creationism.

For the people that believe in evolution, answer this question:

How could the earth be 8 billion years old? Think about it. We have pollution, global warming, murderer, suicide, wars, e.t.c. How could we even be alive right now if the earth had all of that in it? No proof for evolution. Proof for God.

  7. Something in between.

  8. "I was a believer in evolution before I saw the debate"

Why do people keep lyin' fer Jeebus? It doesn't help your case.

  9. Kent Hovind (Dr Dino) would have to answer from the prison where he lives now. Seriously.

The whole point of Creationism is to sell you those videos and books. He just decided he didn't need to pay taxes on all that money he was making from selling them, and did a few other things that ended up getting him federal charges.

If he's that dishonest on that type of thing, do you really think he has put a priority on getting the correct information to you?

Edit: Is Spartina anglica "macro" evolution? Where is your support for the claim "macro" evolution is impossible? Because you haven't personally seen it happen? What about DNA prevents "micro" elvolution you have observed from accumulating into "macro" evolution?

By the way, he is in prison on FRAUD charges among other things. No, it wasn't for the fraud of Creationism, but it certainly shows he is capable and willing to perpetuate a fraud. Unfortunately, selling people lies about science is not illegal. Yet.

No, nucleotides would not prevent macro evolution, basically or otherwise. Spartina anglica is absolute proof of that when you look at the nucleotides in it and it's parent species.

  10. Evolution is fact, there is nothing to believe in because it involves no faith.

  11. Hmmmm, I will have to think about it more.

  12. Evolution.

It makes laugh to see all the creationist answers on here. Its absurd how some people think evolution has been proven false. I hate to tell you, but there has never been, and there never will be legitimate evidence to prove that creationism is real. There is plenty of evidence to support evolution.

And kent hovind is an idiot. Are you really going to beleive a man who has been put in jail for fraud? (Personally I think thats where all the preachers/revrends/pastors, etc. belong for the same reason)

So go forth creationists, and do jerry falwells bidding.

  13. Creationism, the theory of evolution has been proven false, several times, Eh, anyway, I do not believe in the theory of evolution, it is not science, it cannot be tested, repeated, or observed. Can I tell you a joke? There was a cruel kid, he was doing a science project, so he stood up in front of the class with a frog, and said "Jump frog jump!" and the frog jumped, the kid wrote something down. He got out a switchblade, and cut off 1 leg. The kid said "Jump frog jump!" The frog jumped, not nearly as far as last time, this continued untill teh frog had no legs and didn't jump. The kid said "So as you can see, frogs without legs, can't hear"

This is kinda unrelated, but it cam be applied to many things in life, I belive god created the heavens and the earth. :)

  14. You're kidding me? Dr. Hovind convinced that evolution was false? I am sorry but I cant take you seriously after you said that.

Edit- No he is not a fraud really just an idiot.

Where is your evidence that the earth is only 6000 years old? Where is you evidence that humans and dinosaurs coexisted? where is evidence of a creator? Where is your evidence that dinosaurs were dragons?

The short answer:There isn't any. Creationism is not science its a religion.

Adam- The earth is only about 4.6 billion years old and humans have only been on it for a little bit of time. There was no pollution, no"murder", no war no anything like that. Those are all human things. The earth was fine until we screwed it up.

  15. I believe in both. I follow the Teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. I used to call myself a Christian, but Christians for the most part have destroyed the True Meaning of the Word, so I no longer call myself "Christian".

  16. I've watched that retarded fraudster.  His understanding of science is analogous to my dog's understanding of vector operators.  In just 5 minutes I heard him get at least 30 simple facts wrong.

And macroevolution is testable science.  If you don't think so then you're a complete ******* moron who understands absolutely nothing about science, the scientific method, or even basic logic.

  17. I accept evolution.

  20. Wow, you listen to Hovind? You badly need an education (to use an answer I just read from a previous question).

You don't believe in evolution. You don't 'believe' in the atomic theory, nor in the germ theory. Nobody 'believes' in the theory of evolution. However, scientists have great confidence in the theory, and this is brought about by the mountain of evidence coming from geology, paleontology, embryology, geobiology and, very recently, from genetics. These finds, especially those of genetics, undoubtedly close the case for evolution.

That is not to mention the very elegant logic of evolutionary theory. Now, if you want  real education, my friend, go to a science library, pick a biology text book, and give yourself a proper science education.

  21. I am a Christian, Southern Baptist specifically. I am a very adamant believer in creationism. Genesis is the true thing, and I whole-heartedly believe God created all the animals, plants, mankind, etc. on this earth. However, I do believe we as species have evolved. If we hadn't evolved into being able to adapt to our surroundings, we wouldn't do any growing and would die off. No, I do not believe we came from monkeys or algae or w/e, but I do agree with the theory that our species and other ones are much different than we were centuries ago. For the most part we are taller and healthier b/c we have learned how to fight the diseases that once plagued us as a civilization.

  22. The Big Bang and Biological Evolution all the way. Your general theory of religion has and will never be proven because you are dealing with the supernatural, plus you have the religious mind control affliction and looks like you got it a very young age. Shame on your parents.

  23. So I'm supposed to watch 14 hours of a guy that is in jail for fraud explain his version of why proven science is wrong. I think not.

  24. Creationism, my friend...............I am a born again, baptized, believer in Jesus Christ --- Baptist by choice of denomination..................

    God Bless...............

  25. There is no need to 'believe' in evolution.

It is an established empirical scientific fact. You either accept it or deny reality.

Kent Hovind is in jail for numerous fraud counts. Sounds like a very reliable source...not.
