I don't want to believe that I believe in them, but I do. I think that just the supernatural feel of it all, and the myths and legends and stories.

I think a lot of stories and "ghostbusters", so to say, and just fake and money-making schemes.

But stories need to come from somewhere. I always think that with books, a fantasy, for example, might come from most random experience in the authors lives and that triggers something, and they are able to create stories that represent things that happened in their lives.

I don't think that you can just become a ghost; you have to be killed, like run over by a car, or murdered. But again, we hear these things, like having to be murdered. We will never know. I heard that from somewhere. That wasn't my own imagination. I think it seems that with some people, having other things said or confirmed by other people makes the fact more real, and less insane if they were to think of it by theirselves. Some people swear that they have seen ghosts of their grandparents or spouses, ect. Sometimes, I think that someone is following me, or "watching over me". Maybe they are right, but sometimes it is just their imagination running wild, trying to, so to speak, bring their loved one back to life. Maybe...maybe...maybe. We will never know, I guess.

I used to be afraid of them, but not so much anymore now that I'm older. Somethings happen, like now, for instance, as I am typing this, the door of my room keeps opening and closing. I am still a little freaked out, but my window is open, and I know that that must be it.

I think that most of it is people's pre-concieved fears and imagination but, again, we will never know....hmmm...maybe.

Interesting question. Thank you. It has made me think quite a bit.

I do not believe in ghosts.  If there were some actual evidence or genuine anomalies out there I might be more interested in learning about ghosts.  But they are just the product of our active brains trying to explain something natural with something supernatural.  Humans are generally lazy when it comes to looking for an answer so they might just say, "Oh, that's just the ghost in our house again." or "It's the gremlins s******g with us."

I also might be more likely to believe in some of this if we knew less about what happens during death.  When we die the brain becomes less and less active and we lose our consciousness.  There's no evidence or discernible way that the consciousness can continue after the brain ceases to function.

I do believe in ghosts, but I think there is a lot of hype with ghosts. I don't think that they are what people think they are. I don't believe that orbs are ghosts. People are quick believe that they have caught something on tape or in a photo and it's nothing more than dust, a bug, or an anomaly.

I do.  I believe with all my heart, and will swear to you, that I grew up in a haunted house.  I don't believe in a lot of supernatural things, but my experiences were enough that I HAVE to believe.

Yes. My house has some, which the yard has a lot to do with it. I've lived here for 15 years, and about 2 years ago, decided to look up the history on the yard and there's an Indian burial ground here lol.

yeah, i do and so does my sister . growing up, my mother always acted like i was making things up. it was hard knowing i wasnt. now she believes it because she had things happen to her grow up, i guess she didnt want us to be scared. (??)

i just tell my kids that their "friends" need to go home cuz its bed time, i dont want them to feel the way i did
