  1. Only an uninformed person would not believe in global warming ... the real question is ... how much is man and machinery contributing to this process ?  We will probably never know .  As for what will ultimately happen yrs  down the road from global warming ?  Is yet to be seen ...

The proof is indisputable that ice shelves are melting and deteriorating at alarming speeds .  In the polar cap they have already lost 3000 sq. mi. of solid ice shelves , etc, etc .

People are good at playing the denial game .  But they really should accept the facts and do their research .

  2. I believe the climate has been changing from the time the earth has had an atmosphere. I believe the push to make people believe that it has been man changing the climate is a political ploy.

  3. Yes, global climate change is real. Much of it is man-made. McCain believes the same, and he's who I will be voting for. The world won't end in ten years, but we're going to have more outrageously powerful hurricanes, tsunamis, and changes in temperature. This will require a great deal of money and innovation to combat, and will hurt our economy dramatically, as each small impact of climate change compounded makes a tremendous difference. We do have to combat it and stop it before it gets worse.

  4. yes, global warming is real.  today i went out in the morning and it was 70 degrees, I went out in the afternoon and it was 85 degrees.  I saw a polar bear die right on the spot.

  5. Years ago Al G stated that by this time I would be swimming to work. If this is such an issue and his is so passionate about it, why does he not spend some of his millions on his "carbon offsets?"

  6. Climate cycles happen, beyond that I think there is some human effect but it's minimal in comparison to the natural cycles.  So, I'm kind of in the middle on that.  There is some truth to it, but it is blown WAY out of proportion.  Many of the proponents of Al Gore's theories are huge hypocrites and that really bothers me.  Growing up as a country girl who drank from a well (yeah, the kind with a rope and bucket - we did have a cistern pump water in the faucets and pluming, but it was not drinkable), we used a wringer washing machine and hung our clothes on a clothesline to dry, grew and harvested fruit and vegaetables by hand, canned food ourselves, no cable TV, etc ...  We weren't poor and I didn't have a hard life, this is just how many country people lived, modestly, within their means and for everyone there it paid off, they retire pretty comfortably and never had to sacrifice anything good.  A lot of people out there still live that way, the only difference now is that water pumps pump well water through the faucets and they use regular washers and dryers.  I am only 28 years old by the way, there's no way in h**l I'll let some suburban or urban "hippie" tell me about my carbon footprint. The real people with small carbon footprints are the ones that live modestly and never udder the phrase.

  7. Do you believe that Al Gore invented the internet?

No, I believe in climate change which is natural and has always happened.  It's actually been cooler this summer by quite a bit compared to last year.  And I actually live near Al Gore- who also does not believe in global warming!

  8. I used to.  I do think that global warming is real, but having studied climatology and meteorology since the age of 9 and actually being someone who understands how science works, I have yet to see any conclusive evidence showing that human activity is the cause.

I think that Al Gore's approach is all wrong.  Human beings should not be trying to stop global warming - we should be trying to find ways to take advantage of it and turn the lemons into lemonade effectively.  But of course, that won't keep the federal grants flowing to activist scientists, the green industry booming, or the radical environmental lobbyists happy.  So Al Gore will continue building his empire while flying on his private jet and using his private boat because doing so takes care of one person, Al Gore.

  9. I believe in global warming

I don't think the world will end in 10 years

I think if it can make a buck, it can and will get a political spin

  10. I would have more respect for Gore if he practiced what he preached

Global warming shouldnt be politicized though IMO.  It is a matter best left to scientists

  11. IMO, I am a Dem.  I think Global warming is c**p. I will vote Obama.

I don't not believe in it. I think it's natural. I think it's still c**p.  Hope that clarifies.

  12. Lol there are some good and funny answers here.  I think i will give everyone a thumbs up and you a star cuz I got a good chuckle out of some and no one was nasty in their answers.

  13. I believe that humans are destroying the planet. Global warming is definitely in part due to humans. We are ruining the planet and all the beauty of it. Just look at the daily reports of species disappearing. Why can you drink the groundwater in urban areas. Where do you think all the smoke from incinerators goes and the stuff that gets into the river and sea? If we keep doing what we are doing eventually all that will be left of nature will be man himself.

No one wants to go back to a more simpler life of less but unless we get rid of a lot of the world's population we need to. Do you know that 7-8 million cars go on the road in China every year? Every coutnry is developing and the buying power of people is going up. And the people are demanding a lot more. Everyone wants the life of luxury and excess. It's going to impact the lives of those alive in 20 years if world economic and population growth continues the way it has been.

In the end war and violence may be the option certain countries use to sustain their populations happiness. I guess we will go back to the old days.

  14. ALGORE made Millions off of an idea that is absurd.  He is not even a scientist and according to most well noted scientist he is wrong.  We are actually cooling, which has occured off and on for millions of years.

  15. Al Gore does exist , Ive seen him with my own eyes.

So if your asking if I believe in the existence of Al Gore , yes Virginia there is an Al Gore.

  16. al gore invented the internet (so he claimed) but al gore has gotten super rich off of the global warming nut case cause...nobody believes his bs

  17. I do not believe in Gore's brand of global warming. By the way Earth has been in global warming since the ice age. I know one thing Gore would have made even millions and millions more off his groupies had he been around during the dust bowl.

The Global Warming business has made me sure I will vote against any Democrat, liberal or Log Cabin Republican.

  18. I don't think it is real to the extent people say it is and I do not care about it at all.  I drive an SUV, I take long showers, I have my a/c crank down low, I water my lawn to long.

I think we should drill in Alaska, we should club a baby polar bear in the head and drill for oil right through it's dead spine

I don't think it is real and if it is real, it is not a problem America can fix

  19. Global Warming is real, but what can't be shown conclusively are two things: how much of it is caused by man; and whether earth's natural balancing act will stop the flooding.

There are still a great many things impacting weather which we do not fully understand such as the earth's magnetic field which has been weakening, and the oceanic conveyor which may shut off due to extra fresh water in the ocean.

Once the oceanic conveyor slows too much or shuts down, the northern climes will freeze over rather rapidly since they won't have the warm water moving north like it does currently.

  20. I believe there has been "climate change".  But I believe that it is not man made.  Al Gore has made alot of money off of this "scare".  There has been alot of top scientist that have stated Al Gore has no clue as to what he is talking about.  I believe it is caused by the sun and is a normal cycle.  In the 70s they were screaming "ice age".

  21. Why are we worrying about the future if we can't even make it through ONE day?

  22. Never really think about Global warming.

I think about how bad of a debt I will be in when I graduate college...

And wonder if there will even be jobs available in my field. Right. Survival.
