Do you believe in Magic? Can a magician make things really disappear?

I saw a magician make a red handkerchief change colors not once but three times. It did not go up his sleeve. Do magicians have supernatural powers?

Stage magicians work very hard to make what they do seem 'impossible'.  It is their living.  It is all illusion, there is nothing supernatural about it.  It takes hours and hours of practice, of thinking up new tricks and trying them out over and over and over again.  A magician is like any other performer, he is out there to entertain.  You, as audience, also help the performer by wanting to believe what he does is special and not humanly possible.  Just relax and have fun.

Magic is the art of directing the audience's eyes away from what the magician is doing with his other hand.    This is a very simplified explanation, but that sums it up.  There's no super anything except skill.

All magicians use misdirection and sleight of hand.  They can not make things really disappear.  But doing magic is really fun and people really do enjoy having tricks done for them!

I do magic for people at work and everyday they always ask for a new trick!  If you do a trick really well (especially a mind reading trick) some people look at you like you're a ghost and get scared - those are the best!  

Performing magic takes a lot of practice and requires you to develop your skills to perfection.  It has been a wonderful hobby for me.  If I'm ever waiting in a checkout line somewhere and I see a little kid with his mom behind me, I'll start doing some magic for them to pass the time.  They really love that!

I highly recommend that everyone learn atleast one good magic trick - after that you'll be hooked!

the spirit world is very real. Not to say your magician has this ability. In The Bible,(Exodus 7,and8), it describes the Egyptian magicians and their secret arts, which where not of God.Revelation 13 has several verses that also show the"dark" side to have the ability to deceive the masses. Beware! What is not of The Lord should be avoided completely. Been there, done that,can't warn you strongly enough to stay away.
