"Pseudoscience is defined as a body of knowledge, methodology, belief, or practice that is claimed to be scientific or made to appear scientific, but does not adhere to the scientific method, lacks supporting evidence or plausibility, or otherwise lacks scientific status."

-Wikipedia.org

This means stuff like feng shui, psychics, creationism, etc.

If you do believe in any pseudoscience please describe which ones and any details as to why.

  1. The problem with your question is that anyone who believes in the genuineness of a pseudoscience will vehemently protest that it is a real science and not a pseudoscience. (Of course, he will agree, all that other stuff is pseudoscientific nonsense.)

Think of the zillions of dollars creationists spend on pushing their stuff, or all the money various types of alternative medicine nuts spend on their "therapies."

  2. I believe in the pseudoscience of anti-pseudoscienceness. I started believing in it because I read your question.

  3. By definition I would have to say yes.

Please remember that it used to be pseudoscience that the world was round. It has only been when our technology advanced to the point where we could scientifically test the idea that it was proven.

Who knows maybe in the future ghosts will be proven to be compossed of some energy that we (as of this point in time) can read.

Look and think for yourself, but be aware that you may be making conclusions based on incomplete evidence.

  4. To the best of my knowledge the American Association for the Advancement of Science (link below) has never granted affiliation to a pseudoscience organization. The Parapsychological Association (link below) has been an elected affiliate since 1969 so I guess Yahoo simply agrees with the largest organization dedicated to the advancement of science in the United States.

  5. Nobody thinks that they believe in a pseudoscience.

If they believe in it they think that it is a real science.

  6. No. I don't believe in anything pseudo.
