Do you believe in animal testing?

Question

My teacher asked me to do an essay on animal testing. But I personally think it is wrong because we are putting their lives in danger. But I also believe in it because the scientist can find a cure so tht sick animals can be cured. But I think that animal testing is wrong. so please provide me with feedback. Thank you!

no!

there is NO excuse for testing anything on animals.

for most products there are alternatives for testing on animals, but the companies won't change their ways. ALL animals can feel pain, and some animals are even  smarter than our children. Personally I don't see how anybody could have the heart to put anything living through physical or psycholocial pain.

Well, you have to test on SOMETHING.  Or is the animal's life equal to that of a human's?  Obviously there's no point in being needlessly cruel, but is it really better to let untested products out on the market and harm people?

Human health care procedures and pharmaceuticals rely on animal testing. I think it is better to save human lives than to worry about a monkey or rat getting cancer. Anyone who is really opposed to it should not use any product that utilized animal testing at any point. Good luck with that, BTW. Otherwise, you're just an enormous hypocrite.

I think they should create something to test it on besides animals!!!!!!!!! I hate that they use poor little bunnies to try makeup products on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It makes me angry

I believe it is wrong because it ruins the balance of things. I believe it is up to God to decide who lives or dies. You can think about it this way: What if it was you and your family that was used for animal testing? If the species is populating to much of the world then maybe. If there was a lot of the species then I would not mind.

honestly i dont think its wrong, why harm a human, you know someone of your kind, someone who can be ur parnents, friends, or some poor kid from a 3rd world country, for an animal?

Absolutly not!  

There is no excuse for having to test on animals, there are plenty of other things companies can do to spare the animals the pain of having to endure testing.  Plenty of companies already go without testing on animals so there's no reason that other companies can't manage to change their ways.  It is estimated that 50-100 million animals worldwide are used anually to test products, medicines, and new technology.  There is no reason any animals should have to go through that.

I dont like it but as long as its on rats or mice I guess its ok.. they should do human testing the world is infested with them anyway

they are not putting the animals lives in danger--they are torturing and purposefully killing them.  how else would you explain so-called "scientists" giving these animals cancers, lesions, and other diseases to see if a new drug will cure the disease?  They have actually done tests on animals where they cut open their chest and pour in grape/cranberry juices to see if drinking more of those juices would reduce heart disease.  And then their is the whole VIVISECTION debacle.  look that one up.
