  1. Global warming is one thing. What causes it is another.

The earth, in its 10 billion year history, has always warmed and cooled throughout its lifetime.

If global warming is real, and I believe it is, who's to say what is causing it. I am skeptical of Al Gore and all the climate change alarmists who preach gloom and doom if we don't go back to riding horse and buggies.

  2. Yes it is a true thing. For example take when you put your hand over your mouth and breathe out, your hand gets warmer. Pretty much this is what CO2 does when it gets trapped in the atmosphere, creates a heating effect. Although it does go slowly, one degree difference can be astronomical is the effect global warming is having on the polar icecaps.

  3. Deary, its happening.

And not slowly. The earth's been around for a couple billion years. The worst of global warming has been coming on in the last hundred. That's not a lot of time.

  4. yes i believe in global warming

its not something to be taken lightly its affecting the entire planet

  5. yeah..were all gonna die if we dont act fast!

  6. yea.....it's a proven fact that global warming is occurring

  7. yes, it's pretty much been proven because at one point in time the earth was covered in jungles, than came the ice age and now where headed back slowly to the jungle era again.

  8. There is currently no evidence that man has made any significant contribution to climate change.

    Some interesting facts.

    1. During most of the past 2,000 years, the temp has been about the same or higher. Currently, we are barely over the average for the last 2,000 years.

    2. During the medieval warm period (820 – 1040 AD), Greenland supported farming. Those areas previously farmed are now covered in glaciers. Obviously the melting and reformation of glaciers is a cyclical occurrence.

    3. The earth experienced a little ice age which ended around the late 1860's or so. This is about the time man started recording temperatures. This would be like measuring a lake depth after a severe drought, then worrying about it flooding as it rose to normal levels.

    4. The earth has been warming for the last 18,000 years, since the last major glacier time period. During this time frame, the glaciers have been melting at a fairly consistent rate. Also, for most of the last 1 billion years, the earth had NO glaciers or ice coverage.

    5. The AGW theory states that CO2 is the primary driver of temperature. They arrived at this idea because they did not know of anything else which could cause it. But during the 70's and during the current decade, temperatures dropped while CO2 continued to rise. This means that natural occurrences are driving temp, not CO2.

    6. The Pacific Decadal Oscillation and sun spots provides a much better correlation to earths' temperature than CO2 levels ever have.

    7. Polar Bears are experiencing a population boom. Coke sales in the arctics are through the roof. Polar Bears have been around for thousands of years, and remember, we are only at the average for the last 2,000 years. They lived through all the previously warmer climates.

    8. Many glaciers are expanding. Even Antarctica is growing on 98% of is land mass. Only 2% is melting.

    9. There is no consensus on AGW. This was a lie that has been propagated by the media.

    10. Yes we emit CO2 into the atmosphere and it is a greenhouse gas, but, we only contribute about .28% of all the greenhouse effect. Water vapor makes up about 95% of the greenhouse effect. CO2 and other trace gases round out the greenhouse gases at about 5% for all of them. Of that 5%, only 3% is CO2, and most of that is natural. Again, our contribution to the greenhouse effect is a paltry .28%

    11. The spread of disease is not attributed mainly to temperature. If this were the case, Florida would be a giant festering disease ridden cesspool. Economic standing is the primary determining factor in the spread of disease. Poor cultures can not fight the disease or eradicate the pests like more successful nations.

    12. Natural climate disasters (hurricanes, cyclones, etc) have never been scientifically linked to global warming (whether natural or man made).

  9. sure, it's a natural phenomenon----the earth has been doing this for millions of years----

those politicians that think it's all our fault should stop immediately driving their suv's and jetting off somewhere on our dime no less

and they should start with mr. big mouth himself Al Gore

  10. we are still not totally off of the last ice age yet either.  let that sink in everyone.  Until we are completely out of the ice age, the earth will continue to get warmer. yes, the earth is getting warmer, but the majority of it is natural. i think the hype surrounding global warming is too much. a bunch of malarky...

  11. Climate change is with us for some time. We have the technologies but we have to put money into them. Power plants that produce more power, motors that use less energy; that is the future with superconductors. Check out CoolingEarth.org for more information.

  12. I don't believe that man can affect the climate of the earth.

  13. The planet goes through warming and cooling periods.  We know from history that the planet has been much warmer and much cooler in the past.  The animals and plants do much better during the warming period.

I don't think a bunch of politicians know what the perfect temperature of the planet is.  They just want an excuse to tax us to kingdom come.   Can you believe the politicians controlled by the environmentalist lobby are saying we need to come up with $30 trillion dollars to combat "global warming?"  That's no small change.  Get ready for $10/gallon gas once they start the carbon taxing.  It will be impossible to afford heating fuel to keep us warm in the winter.  So even though the warming period is over, we'll be freezing from an overloading of taxes this winter on the pretense of combatting warming.  Pretty ironic, isn't it?

  14. The REAL gloom and doomers are the ones boo-hooing about how expensive gas and heating will be! Boo-hoo! They are sooooo scared!  Who do they think is going to pay for all the flood and tornado damage? Tornado season just started and we've already had twice as many tornadoes as last year!

Global Warming is a misnomer. The earth isn't getting a little warmer. The atmosphere is trapping more energy, energy that makes it capable of producing daily floods and tornadoes like we are seeing in the midwest!

Anyone who still drives an SUV because they think that represents "American Lifestyle" is retarded.
