  1. What does being a Christian and believing in karma have to do with each other???? LOL

Anyways....... I do believe in it.  I will say this, I can't name any specific examples, because I've really just started paying attention to this type of thing - just since I've become a parent.  I'm sure I will run across several instances in my lifetime though.

  2. No, I'm a Christian

Christians do not believe in karma, we believe that God has a plan for our lives and that it has nothing to do with "deeds".

  3. I believe in karma in general.  Can't think of a specific example, but I believe I've seen it happen several times.

  4. I believe in Karma in general, but I dont see Karma as a big thing in parenting.

What I would say is that "times change, but people dont".  What I mean by that is that you are bound to do the same things YOUR PARENTS did when you were young and that YOUR CHILD will do the same things to you that you did to your parents.  Teenagers and parents fight.....it happens more because of human nature and hormones than it does because of Karma.

"What comes around, goes around" and "The circle of life/nature" arent all that different really, I guess.

  5. Absolutely. My brother gave me heck when my son was 3 because he didn't want to share his new train that he had just got for Christmas with his 1 year old cousin. My brother didn't have any kids at the time. He then was upset because when he took the train away from my son, my son hit him. Now, I didn't see this happen. And I was very upset that my son had done that. BUT, my brother didn't seem to understand that um, my son was THREE, and my brother is an ADULT.  Hello?! I told him that if I would have seen it happen, or been told it happened immediately afterwards, my son would have gone to a time out. But the moment had passed and I couldn't  punish him then, because he wouldn't have been able to understand what the time out was for. Anyway, to get to the point...my brother and his wife had a baby the following year. Then they had another baby when their first born was 21 months. So, now he is a stay at home dad with 2 children both under the age of 3. Heehee. We will see how that sharing thing goes for him between his 3 and 1 year old. :)

  6. I wouldn't call it karma...I would say if you parent your children well they will love you and respect you. If you parent horribly then there will be no benefit in that. In most cases, great parents produce great kids.
