Question:

Do you believe in psionics/psychokinetics?

I have a friend who made our other mate stop talking to us. I asked him why, and he told me that he saw him start a fire when he thought no one else was around- and he did it with his hands. He confronted him about it later, but he eventually admitted he wasn't comfortable being around him alone. I want to know if my mate was imagining things or not. I'm really worried about him, so no neativity please.

  1. I used to be really big into this stuff. I used to study it and try to do it and everything. I kinda just got older and got out of it.

But, yes i do believe that it could happen. Whos to say what can and cant happen?

  2. well I have never heard of that before until now, well I am starting to believe in that I will have to look into that.

  3. It could be true. Some people can trance themselves into this state, others go about in their sleep life, all aware of the moment, in other places, even, other time periods. This is not just a study. The study is what has proved its existence.

  4. I've never heard of anyone being able to do that. I would go to the other friend and ask him about it.

  5. First you are not being clear about who is who (you call them both "he" so that's confusing).

Second, no I don't believe in supernatural powers, if that were real he would be some kind of superhuman.

Most likely the witness of this is confused, was part of a prank or have serious "problems" drugs or mental or just pure childish imagination.

Don't believe that kind of stuff, by the way there are many tricks used by magicians to start fires.

  6. This is really a two part question. Yes, I believe psychokinesis (PK) is possible (though in a very limited way) based on the scientific evidence that supports it (links below).

No, I do not believe that your friend started a fire with just his hands as there is no scientific evidence that I am aware of that has ever been put forth to support this possibility.

Your friend could simply be lying about your other friend (most probable explanation) or the friend that started the fire may be good at magic tricks.

    Psi

  7. telekinesis may be possible but what you want to know is if pyrokenesis exist i doubt it. now i could be wrong but think about moving something with your mind is different then creating a spontaneous fire

  8. I can do that too.  With my hands, I pick up a lighter, and then I do this qi-gong thing with my thumb, and a little flame pops up.  It's possible, depending on the person.  Not too popular though, because fire is not really in-style these days -- most people use electricity.

What a friend you have! Such a friend to your other mate too. He sounds like a chicken.  So what if the guy makes fire with his hands; I think that is the least of your problems with friends.  It could be worse - they could dump you at the first sign of being "not like them" and talk about you being "evil" behind your back.

Okay, so confront Sparky and ask for the truth with the fire trick.  And make sure your friend is not just holding onto a lie because he does not want to admit to a mistake.  It sounds like a flaky excuse to not be nice to someone.  If your mate is barbequeing kittens, that's another story.

  9. Yes I do even though it is not widely accepted by most scientist and has not been proven with concrete evidence yet. But if thought waves indeed give off frequencies then they also can effect condensed matter sense matter is essentially energy.

In physics, there is a theory that says all matter vibrates and has a wave component. If that is true, then everything is connected. If our brains are sending out wave after wave of thought, who can say exactly what effect they’re having? After all, EM radiation doesn’t go away in space! Once it’s sent out, it keeps going light years away and centuries later! Who’s to say thought waves don’t operate the same way?

All it would take for this theory to be true is for someone to discover a way to measure thought waves emanating from other people

But for my own experiences  I believe this is true.
