  1. In public places and businesses yes; in the home, no.

  2. I believe freedom should be left up to the owner of the business

  3. No I don't. I don't mind smoking, and I think you can't tell people not to.

  4. d**n straight

  5. It has gone to far..I can see some of it..but where I live there is a law, no smoking within 25 feet of a business.. and the business is responsible..how stupid..someone walks by smoking and the business gets fined..typical stupid non thinking government

  6. Not when it is raining !  There is also the fact that most publicans have seen a dramatic downturn in trade and these businesses are failing in unprecedented numbers.  I'd like to see something to help these people adapt rather than seeing boarded up bars - dragging down areas.

  7. I'm very sensitive to the government telling us what we can and cannot do but I believe that smoking bans in private businesses is okay because second hand smoke is lethal.

  8. He lights a cigarette as he enters the building to give his two cents. "I do not believe in smoking bans, and they do not believe in me, so we get along fine."

In reality, as an ex-smoker, I like them for selfish reasons; however I think they are typically a measure of the government over stepping it's bounds.

I like it as a non-smoker, because when I want to take my family to a restaurant, I don't have to drive past a restaurant just because it has a smoking section. It's a convenience to me. Before the smoking ban in my state, I just avoided establishments that allowed smoking. It was not that big a deal for me to avoid those businesses.

In Washington state, where I live, a smoking ban was established by the populace via initiative, and not the legislature. This is the exception to the rule I think. When the populace of a state decide they want something to be a law, that is valid. When the state government decides to infringe on the peoples rights.

  9. Constitutional Sovereigns do not get banned, unless businesses is bribed by the mafia/fed. As part of employment requirement you may get banned though.

  10. "Public" property, I think it is fine.  In this case, public property should only be inside buildings that are government run and funded at all by taxpayers.

Private businesses and homes, I think it is an infringement upon rights.  I am not a smoker but I think that people should be able to set their own policy on any private property.
